His sarcasm is cathartic and much needed in the UK of today. It cuts through the fog and smarm. It's a coping mechanism in the face of stupidity and hypocrisy. I like him. He's like medicine. The backhanded compliment to the Bunnymen is also apt: "Better than most of the other rubbish" is as good as it gets on the Lydon scale. And they most certainly were: one of the few eighties bands I'll still listen to.

English humour is a coping mechanism for life in a foggy and mentally perturbed country. There is no reason Americans should automatically get it or like it because their (your?) country isn't quite as hard on its own people. That's why we were a breeding ground for pirates and imperialists. JL also voted with his feet in moving to USA. When you're English, you have to cut through a lot of BS to even get near to the truth

You know, back in the day, I thought Kevin Seal was dull. The guy trying too hard to be funny. . .and failing. After seeing what MTV is like these days, I'd welcome him back with open arms. Lydon would never be allowed to run free like this on MTV today. Hell, they wouldn't interview him at all.

That's what I like about this man He speaks his mind He's not afraid to say what he thinks on any subject. I believe he is very political, but that's just my view. He also comes to the point and says it how he sees it with no bs .
