We have the same trailer and very happy with it. I also added lithium batteries to it. We have been boondocking. I put in a dc - dc charger in the truck plus we brought a small generator with us. ( I know it is over kill, but we are new to trailer camping). Well I picked up 200 watts of solar panels for the ground today. Right now all we are using is the 200 watt that came with the trailer. I was looking to see what make of solar was on the roof and came across your video. I am glad I did. My question for you is how many amps are you getting with the 400watts on the roof on a sunny day? When I do the math 400 watts divided by 12v is 33 amps on a good day. I don't know the size of wire the was run in the trailer from the factory. I will tomorrow when I climb up there . For that reason I am thinking of wiring the two 200 paneks in series. If you could let me know what you get on the amperage. Good video. Thank you.
@exploringquests2 ай бұрын
@@paulcarovinci6796 Thanks so much! So far I haven’t been able to do see the maximum amps coming in. I haven’t been in full sun except for recently when we went to Florida. I never got below 80% charge there so before the camper saw full sun it was charged up enough to be on float charge. With the 300Ah of lithium I’m usually on float charge whenever I check, so I rarely see bulk charging except in the morning which is not full sun charging. I’m usually in the woods with partial shade and clouds. Sorry I can’t answer your question. If I ever get that info, I’ll let you know! Thanks for watching!
@exploringquests2 ай бұрын
@@paulcarovinci6796 I do know I’ve heard from many others that solar panels will give you about 70% of their listed power realistically, so I wouldn’t expect to get anymore than 23 amps coming in.

Hi, I Hope your wife is doing better. Abord our 2022 187RB the bathroom door is hinged on the other side. So, we don't have any of the issues you have. Why they chanced it is a goof. I love this camper! I think the sink is nice, but a bit overkill, using up all the counter space. I would like it to be half the size, leaving room on the counter for a coffee maker. I wish it had a sliding barn door on the bathroom instead of a swinging door. I also wonder if a person could remove the front panel of the under-bed storage area and put a couple big baskets under there for easier access to things? Those are just my thoughts...but overall, I LOVE the size of this unit, the storage it has, all the big windows, and the great way it looks inside and out! Thanks for sharing!

@@cruisepuppy The sink is really nice being the size it is when it’s time to wash the dishes. You could buy something that fits in the sink to cover part of it for more counter space and still have use of the sink. No way to put a barn door for the bathroom. Some use a curtain. And, you can definitely take the panel off and make it more accessible. Hope these ideas help! I appreciate your kind words. Have a great day!

@@cruisepuppy We like to boondock mostly, so we use a percolator on the stove. I did tell my wife, since we are staying at sites with hookups more often right now because of the heat, I will be taking our regular coffee maker. I’ll put it on the stove cover because we always cook our breakfast on the griddle outside…at least for now. When it gets colder I will probably put it on the sink cover I’m going to purchase in the near future that only covers half of the sink. Or it could go on the dinette table if we don’t have the grandkids with us. Also, I plan to put a fold down counter extension at the end of the countertop that could also be a place to put it. I would 1000% buy this camper again. Every time we go out, we always say how it’s the perfect camper for us and couldn’t be happier. I appreciate you telling me what you would like to see in future videos. I will definitely try and put together a video in the near future that has the things you are asking for. Thanks for watching, and hopefully I can make some videos that you can enjoy!

Thanks for the tour. This is on my wife and I's very short list. A couple questions. I assume this is a short queen (75") does the plywood under the mattress support the entire mattress or does it hang over the edges? Also, about how much awning width is to the left of the door? We'd like the option of dragging the park picnic table under the awning and not having to pack a canopy for that. Thanks!
@exploringquests4 ай бұрын
@@cablebandit The tour is my pleasure! It is a short queen and the plywood supports all but about an inch or so of the mattress. You could put a full queen mattress on there, but it may make it hard to walk around the side of the bed on the kitchen side.
