This was a super fun look at the Bento's over the year! I didn't have the best year, a lot of bad things happened including my father's passing. It was always nice to know that a video of yours was coming at the end of the week to relax and have fun watching. I hope this doesn't sound mean (not my intention at all!!!) but it's nice to see when you mess up/are clumsy. A lot of cooking tutorials, or showcasing cooking videos, don't often show general mishaps unless they're really bad or dramatic - It makes not only these recipes feel more achiveable, but also makes me, personally, feel better about not always being perfect. Sometimes you just mess up, and that's okay::) So, thank you for that, and the inspiration your videos give for cooking. Your treats look wonderful, as usual! Gon-chan is adorable, as you know. I work very hard with my two cats to teach them that they are not allowed in the kitchen when I'm in there. (Mostly because Lino will throw himself at my feet at the absolute worst possible times, and with my luck, it would be when I was trying to move something like a large pot of boiling water. So, no cats in the kitchen if I'm in there.) I don't encourage them to be in the kitchen when I'm not in there, but I won't yell at them for it. Just remind them that the kitchen it's where they are supposed to be. :) Lino is nearly 2 and still puts everything in his mouth. He licks and chews on so many things, he needs constant supervision. I buy a lot of chewable toys. Silvervine sticks are a favorite. They are wrapped in a twine that he can chew on, the sticks themselves have catnip-like properties, so he loves to chew on them. The sticks are also small enough that he can carry them around, but big enough that I can throw them easily for him to chase. I have to watch out for electrical cables, though, since Lino does like to chew on those too, and has chewed them to pieces, which could be really bad if he gets the wrong one. Thankfully, Yuki isn't a chewer, so I don't have to watch him so closely. When I was younger, my parents and grandparents would do frozen fruit on a stick, much like your kiwis. We usually used bananas, and they would cut the bananas into either top and bottom halves, or top/bottom/left/right quarters. Then put each on a stick, freeze, then dip in chocolate. This was a really common treat in the summer. I still like them and I haven't been a kid in many many MANY years. :) Have a good holiday and thank you for all the wonderful videos this year!

Hanako-san, this is such wonderful timing!! Lately, I've had to deal with some reflux issues which severely affected my opportunities to enjoy my favorite foods! 😭 A nutritionist who's supporting me online suggested I try a Mediterranean diet and while I'm still not sure if there is a science that says it's effective, I'm willing to give it a try if it means I'll be able to enjoy my favorite foods again! 😤 So I gained a lot of good ideas for breakfast and ingredients to add to the pantry thanks to this video! ✨ I can't believe it's already been a year! Time really does fly! I had a lot of good things and bad things this year, but I think what's important is that we come out of this year with new learnings and new appreciation for what we have in life! 💖 Thank you so much for sharing so many things with us this year, Hanako-san!
