I left home with a heavy heart, without saying goodbye to anyone I loved. I took a train to London, hoping to find my own way. The city's bright lights and smoke drew me in, but it turned out to be empty and cold. People here don't have feelings or real connections. I tried gambling to make money but lost it all.
