Step 1, be a millionnaire Step 2, use that million to buy 1/4 of a set of r&f oil sticks… Repeat step 1 and 2 until you have a completed set

lol it’s not that much come on. I’m not wealthy not even close and I just brought a dozen sticks for £174 on sale. £14.5 per stick. Not bad at all it will last me a while.
@spasticpanda8933Ай бұрын
@@DHU11my guy that's 220 us dollar. Unless you are already talented with paint and can make full use of the stick format then learning on that is borderline absurd. Let's take the average wage here of 14.50 multiply by 40 and you make 1200 bi weekly or 2400 a month. Take away the average rent of 1500 leaves you with 900 then bills and the rest of your expenses and you don't even have enough for these working an entire month. I make $57 an hour and even tho I can afford these it's still a ton of money

Is there a heat set oil additive that i could add to my winton paints to be able to mix custom colors, and store them in in jars, preventing them from drying out? That can also be heat set for curing?

This is extremely helpful, and that color is so beautiful (while it's setting-I could see putting it over the top of another color for when it dries). Thank you.

They don't seems enough safe for me. I mean i don't want to take the risk that the acrylique would flow on my drawing suddenly. It's already a problem we have with posca, so it's sad that this one seems even less safe. And i don't want to use a brush to use them, because i prefer to work with the marker itself. but thanks for this video, that make me realize that they weren't secure enough for me^^

I’ve seen a few videos and I’ve yet to see how to get the legs to stay in place. I’m not talking about their length. I mean stay separated / spaced out.

Did not do this color justice. It looks brown here but it isn't. It's a beautiful soft almost natural appearing purple. If there was such a thing as purple in nature.

I found the video useful but as yet got to put my divider into use. Watching the shape you measured I wondered if measuring the diagonal would result in more accuracy. I'll try it out myself soon.

I had to come back to say this method doesn't work consistently. It would never work for many seniors, or those with arthritis. I fixed mine with a small folded piece of fine sandpaper, but still with a bit of tooth to it. I first sanded down a good bit of the clasp's front part. I took away about 1/3 to 1/2 of it. Then I used the edge of the sandpaper to sand under the clasp a bit. This made it even more easy to open the palette without having to hurt your fingers from pressing so hard. And when closed, it's secure enough that it won't open in a bag while travelling. It still doesn't open with a gentle pull. But it is much easier and opens every time. I simply hold it upright, with it facing frontwards or backwards, press down on the cover while pushing it towards the front. Then it's easy to just pull it up and open. It's a nice little palette. The deep wells were a draw for me. Jane Blundell describes ways to fully utilize space in it, both on her blog and her website.

Very good, clear, and informative video! It answered my question about the amount of time it takes to dry, and the encouragement to use it over (and with) traditional acrylics!

I just bought one of these and opened it once (after reading about issues with that). The second time I could not open it after many tries. This video saved my sanity. I love this little palette for my limited studio space in my apartment.
