Rather hear you than the music ok. Does no one every put back the alternator air duct ? My tribute did not have it either, last person took it off and is no where to be found. I made on out of light sheet metal copied from the original I found on line for our year. It makes a big difference in how long the Alternator will last. Those alternators fry next to the exhaust manifold and catolyic converts in traffic.

It used to read 7 liters per 100 kilometers. Now it has become 15 kilometers per 100 kilometers. What is the solution?

Looks nice man, about to do the same in my 14 Tiguan. I ordered the armrest pad extension for the super uncomfortable, full plastic fold down center rear seat and since it blocks the cup holders I need to add the fold out ones. I almost ordered the actual console extension one with the pop out cup holders and top lid storage, but it’s $200 more 😬 so I figured I’d go my route instead haha

You did wrong You have to put rubber ring inside the female pipe Use some grease to placement easy
@schmick63
@schmick63 9 ай бұрын
I think you've used the wrong size o-ring. It needs to be 18mm x 2mm and it sits inside a channel in the female pipe. To join them together again, put some grease on the male pipe and then use plyers to gently pull the pipes back together. They should sit flush,, with no o-ring visible. There is enough of a lip on each pipe to do this as long as they are lined up straight.

What sealant did you use, may I ask?
@schmick63
@schmick63 3 ай бұрын
@@bacsolo3719 Don't need sealant. The o-ring is all that's required to keep it water tight and as long as you refit the factory circle clips around the joins you won't have issues. I have done many of these repairs.

@schmick63 Thanks, I've used (id NBR70 18mm inner x 2mm cross section), fits well, but I can still see the pipe isn't fully closed flush. I've already put a sealant on. But those clips are lose? Why?
@schmick63
@schmick63 3 ай бұрын
@@bacsolo3719 The clips won't fit and secure unless the 2 pipe ends are 100% together.
@bacsolo3719
@bacsolo3719 3 ай бұрын
@schmick63 Ta, thanks for. I'm able to connect the pipes together 100%, but due to me forcing the top pipe up to be disconnected, the top pipe won't fully stay in position when assembled. Thus, the gaps. If it leaks again, I might try putting a coolant pipe over it and claim it down on both ends. The oring fit perfectly, but we'll wait and see. Thanks for the suggestion and the quick reply.

Was the technician correct? I have the same error on my GF22WGS
@chrispolobatangueno3667
@chrispolobatangueno3667 Жыл бұрын
Just find a technician who is well skilled in electronics that can really troubleshoot and fix. My technician from an accredited service repairer was an old school fridge tech and not skillful enough. Three times he visited and diagnosed my fridge and every time he would call his helpline and then will say ok the compressor needs replacement. Next visit compressor was installed and still not cooling gave us a new blink code i can’t remember but it points to motherboard replacement. I gave a go signal and after a week came back with a new board but still the same issue and now telling me the display board is a problem that needs replacement. He then installed back the old motherboard and said it’s good and just observe if it will cool. I just waited for him to go and never called them again. I suffered three weeks without fridge for his incompetence. I only paid the call in fee on the first visit cause I’ve accepted the terms but no more other than that. Next few days I searched for a fridge sale a bought a bnew and i gave the old one to the delivery guys for proper disposal. Take note the old one has a brand new compressor installed by the incompetent tech. It was under warranty from lg so parts is free but labour is not but I didn’t pay him cause he never fix the problem.

It would have been nice to see you sliding the hoses on That showing us it finished how do you get that hose in between those 2 pipes what are you moving to make them go apart from one another without moving the heater cord Cause I'm sure you don't want to pry on them too hard or you'll break the heater core itself where the pipe goes in
@chrispolobatangueno3667
@chrispolobatangueno3667 Жыл бұрын
@billeh3511. Sorry if it wasn’t filmed when I was doing that part. It was really very tight space and I don’t have someone with me to hold the phone to video it. I never thought it would be viewed by many. Anyway, the steps would be to disconnect the heater hose from the engine bay near the firewall. Doing this will give you the room to wiggle the aluminum pipe towards to the firewall when you are separating the two pipes inside the car. The other pipe connected to the heater core should not be moved or wiggled so much to avoid damaging the heater core. I have detailed explanations in some of my replies here If you could search. Thanks

I've just done this today after finding the footwell soaking wet while hoovering the car - Brilliaint video mate , It was awkward and my back is f*****g killing me now but no way was i paying Ford over 1k to do it. Ended up having to use washing up liquid to lube the inside of some 22mm radiator hose to push the b*****d over the pipe, Persevere with it i had to take a breather every now and then as ribs were taking a beating leaning in trying to do it, But got it done in the end thank f**k! - UPDATE - 3 months down the line the repair is still sound bone dry no more leaks at all.

Why didnt ya just replace the o-ring from TCH and the little clamp that holds them, x2 new o-rings & x2 new hose clamps for around £20 as uve had to have apart anyway. unless u wanted a temp fix.

You can’t buy it during that time here in Aus. Ford don’t sell it and they will offer you a new assembly updated heater core unit without this connection. You can’t either buy it from auto parts here. Even from bay you can’t buy. Only last year I was able to see ebay is selling it now. But for sure my fix will last longer if you put it back with o ring and plastic clamp.

My car had issues again a month ago after Ford replaced the TCM under recall. It will be two years this March after the tcm replacement but I’ve been hearing loud skipping noise since I have a scanner it gives me a fault which says clutch 2 stuck engaged. I consulted to a transmission expert and quoted me a replacement of clutch assembly kit including shift forks and input shaft seals. You might be asking why I didn’t bring it to Ford it’s because I don’t trust them anymore. This time I’m willing to pay for the repair but I will give my money to a mechanic who can really fix my car. Hope this one will help you.

Job well done 👍, And with this, I will be removing the two silly twist clips also in the engine bay that also have an o'ring.. This is stupidity at its best.. I will be running the hoses from the engine block and , 1. Remove twist clamp fitting throw away. Hose clamp directly to pipe. Option 2.. From engine block, Feeding the rubber hose directly through hole into the car & to the heater core, longer hose required, then hose clamp it, similar to above..
