I'm a Vietnam vet and was fortunate enough to see the 1970 Long Binh Bob Hope show. He will always be special to those in the service that he cared enough about to put all the effort into doing a show. God bless his memory.

Bob Hope was known even at his height, for being helpless without cue cards. A big reason why his partnership with Bing Crosby didn’t last. One of the most overrated “comedians” ever. Dude never made me laugh even once.

American BS. I am a proud Vietnam/Draft resistor. Here's the reality. Americans are literally invaders, occupiers and aggressors in someone else's country. Vietnam is a country that did nothing to America. They were going through their own civil war for independence after years of colonialism. It was NEVER in America's national interests...that was all brainwashing. The US basically beats the sh*t out of both N & S Vietnam for 10 years. But leave it up to America to send a little bit of "Americana" (women & rock & roll) to the troops who are wrongly in that country. I'm sure all the Vietnamese really appreciated that. Bring in Hollywood at Christmas. America at its narcissistic self-centered best.

I received this transmitter, CKCO-TV-2 Wiarton, for 36 hours in the summer of 2008. I noticed them on a scanner in my shirt pocket, indoors in Salt Lake City. Later, the new owner of the farmland surround the tower, made unreasonable demands for the road access, and the power went off. He would not let them fix it, so they left the station dark Later, the entire was dismantled.

I was one of the Marines and i saw myself in this video. Great memories.

as a kid growing up I loved space stuff. I dream of Genie was my favorite show of course with the Genie. Well later in life I did get a couple of engineeing degrees, did become an Air Force captain. Did live in Melbourne Florida just south of cocoa beach. never got a Genie. OH well

gosh darn. I was 5 year into my USAF career in 87. Growing up used to cherish the Bob Hope and USO shows at xmas time during the 60s and 70s. God bless

I've watched Bob Hope's specials since I was a child. While I could enjoy the special, I noticed how labored his performance was. Bob Hope, I miss your performances and your specials! No one brought home the Soldiers in Vietnam like you!
