Now that's the thing I completely agree with Joss about why does everyone have to be loyal to Sonny but he doesn't give that same loyalty to them. Carly and Jason was completely loyal to each other. But Sonny always does what he wants especially if he feels betrayed.

Although I'm glad everything worked out okey for Adam, the writers could have done so much more with this SL. Its so easy to blame his parents for everything (kids usually do), but people never find their paths easily. Joss encourages Adam to pursue something he loves (music) and bam - he quits pre-med & turns his attention to music. No struggles, no job, no way to pay bills, no real plan. There has to be more to this.
