I discovered the bug yesterday by accident and youtube recommended this video, what a coincidence :D I hope it gets solved!

I will report it to the dev team. This is not the best means to report a bug. The facebook group or the official service portal are better.

I've already opened a ticket with Music Tribe, and I hope that it will be processed or fixed at some point. Admittedly, the behavior is also an edge case that doesn't need to be treated with the highest priority. But the video seemed to me the simplest medium to demonstrate the strange behavior and wasn't always public :-)

Nice. This will sound bonkers, I'm sure, but it kind of makes me think of what you might get if you mixed Patrolling Space Borders with Zamia Lehmanni. I would say not too long, I could listen to it for another 17 minutes, as a matter of fact I think I just might...

Thank you for your nice feedback! It's always intriguing to hear the various influences and associations people connect with my music. A combination of "Patrolling Space Borders" and "Zamia Lehmanni" would be really interesting 🙂 If you feel like listening for another 17 minutes, just do!

Loving your music here. Quick question, what is controlling the 'concurrent' sequence and is that synch'd to the SQ-1? I'm just considering extra sequencing options in my set up.
@philaesfarewell4 ай бұрын
Good question 😊 I should take more notes of what I actually plugged together 😂 The slow sequence on the rings clone is controlled by the sq-1. the analog plucky sound that is running in eighths through the whole session is controlled by my midi2cv converter with an inbuilt arpeggiator that was loaded with a simple chord. The drones are droning and the lead sound aka melody is a single vco controlled by the cv output of the Arturia Microfreak
@jugs01014 ай бұрын
@@philaesfarewell Ah I see. I only ask as I've had trouble synchronising my SQ64 with modular sequencers. No problem, thanks. 👍
@philaesfarewell4 ай бұрын
@@jugs0101 as the midi2cv controller is a self built one, i Actually took care that is synchronisable to my other stuff. Either I used the gate or the sync output if the sq-1 as a trigger
A great quick example of its sounds, and ideas on hooking it up. Simple text scrolling up the screen to let us know what you're up to. No massive intro etc. etc. etc. Great vid. Thanks. 😁

Great video. Just got mine do you know what gate in does, was hoping it would be similar to trig of level on plaits. Thanks

Nice. I'm not seeing a lot of videos from actual users with Victor yet, so it's cool to see one in the wild. I had a Brains for a couple weeks and wanted to like it but I ran into some issues with the way it handled CV control over certain parameters. Victor SOUNDS phenomenal and I've been seriously considering one since it was announced. Have you encountered any glitches, bugs or bad behavior with yours?
@philaesfarewell6 ай бұрын
No, not at all. I have to admit that didn’t I test it in every possible way, but no issue I am aware of, right now
@ericMT5 ай бұрын
I have 3 Brains and they work fine with the latest firmware update. Maybe they fixed that issue. Almost the same price to just get a Plaits clone though.
@PatternRecognitionMusic5 ай бұрын
Honestly, I feel everybody has a rack full of Mutable and Make Noise stuff, and it all makes the same generic bloopy generative meh. That said, if I did decide to go for a Plaits clone, I'd be looking at Knit just to save some hp. My Brains was running the latest firmware as of early January, but no matter what sequencer or mod source I used, I couldn't get it to behave. Changing modes with CV to build a drum kit, it would lag, it would overshoot, it would bounce, and sometimes it would even do nothing.
@boblove29127 ай бұрын
I have one and its ok. The amount of XY CV mod feels rather underwhelming even set on maximum depth. The joystick seems to have far more effect.
@philaesfarewell4 ай бұрын
seems to be something, that could be easily fixed with an firmware-update
@goonfish4 ай бұрын
Also make sure your CV source actually outputs a high enough voltage that Victor expects; many CV/Modulation sources only output ±5V (or anywhere from ±3V-8V). This exact scenario is where a voltage scaler+attenuverter utility really shines!
