Iain your sketch book was interesting if not more than the painting you were doing! That is not to say I did not enjoy your painting process, but I don’t use my sketch book for painting only sketching my composition and value thumbnails. So the question is : Is your sketch book a book of watercolour paper or just thick paper ?

Very nice. For being a 5 x7 great job. I appreciated your advice as an artist myself about less being more. Thank you.

Good to see you again. Masterful brush, value and water control as always. Loved how you took a lovely painting and made it even better and pointed out the fears most of us have and told us to let it go! I need to try some of that 300# rough. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Iain for this KZbin demo...it just reinforces what I should be doing always and not only sometimes. When I don’t I am never happy with the final painting....when I do the composition thumb nail followed by a value study the final painting glows with life as I wanted it to from the initial concept. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Is that cartridge or watercolor paper. I'm thinking it might be cartridge. I like the pooling effect to give saturated colour at the outlines. Great style. Thumbs up

Wow so fantastic! Don’t think I will ever learn to be loose. I will keep watching! You amazed me at the demo in April in Houston. And I loved how you kept us laughing! I wish I could have been in the workshop. Another day will come. My blood is Scottish too so I know how you feel when you go over the pond to paint and absorb the country. I am happy I found you on KZbin. You are an inspiration.
