Won't the fact that the stock platter for Debut Pro and Debut Pro S for example weights about twice as much as the acryl platter affect speed? A much lighter platter would result in the TT running to fast right?

Brilliant. Honest review of their own product. Not many, if any manufacturers are thus honest.

Pro-Ject is crap and not a serious unfair company, last year their export manager laughed and scorned Rega on the German stereo homepage when they release a P1 or P2 in wood finish, a year later they brought one themselves, I complained that this is unfair unprofessional and the comment was quickly deleted without a comment. They should have apologised to Rega.and fired the export manager.

Of course, there is no such beautiful display with adjustable rotation speed as in the previous version. But the simpler the product, the more reliable it is. This product really has a luxury look.

Preso 20 giorni fa... veramente di ottima qualità, si sente bene, bello da vedere. Preso anche il suo alimentatore originale con messa a terra e ho eliminato alcuni piccoli ronzii . Sostituito il tappetino in feltro con quello in pelle originale Pro-Ject

I've been a vinyl fan since childhood. Growing up in a post-Soviet country, I spent years tinkering with countless turntables and amplifiers. After moving to a new country, I started looking for a European manufacturer, and Pro-Ject caught my eye precisely due to the color variants. I chose the EVO 2 turntable in a beautiful satin green, along with an amplifier. Needless to say, this has been the best purchase I’ve made in years-the things I used before don't even compare.

I still have my OG Debut from 1999 (with lots of upgraded parts). Simplicity ≠ low quality. Thanks to Heinz for sticking with vinyl when other manufacturers ignored the format and offering everything from entry level to high end builds. ❤

I've owned several iterations of this table, and always wished new models had a detachable headshell for easy cartridge change. I'm not convinced there's a loss of fidelity, and there's a lot of tables out there with detachable headshells and no complaints.

This is perhaps some of the highest quality marketing/informercial I have ever seen for a hifi product

always ... attractive .. always great .... i already have 2 Debut in white .... one with almost 18years now ... another with maybe 3 years ... i love them great as i get older i would like to have the same artefacts and design ... but with auto-stop and a rpm switcher ... can anyone advice me on a pro-ject (in white) model with these features ?
