Hello Brady, I just want to inform you that NASA is a satanic organization. Why was it called comfort hive?

My plan is to retire in the Philippines. The type of Apis Cerana is one the feral bees living there. They are smaller and require or like a smaller spaces. This is the hive for the province life. I can do this and repeat.

I have a supply of 2x8's, but they are "ground contact" treated. Would this have an adverse effect on the bees?

Lay them flat in a dry place, the butchered cut dries to a leathery finish. If you added a Frame of Brood (piece off your Langstroth Frame) into the Comfort Hive when you box your next Swarm, they won't abscond ! Brood is a Bee Magnet 👍 Hope it works for you on your next catch. 🐝
