In theory if the network for the RPI is set up correctly we could get the position of multiple rovers correct? as long as the X/number of rovers and packets can fit within the limits of the data stream.

Can you please make a video about the configuration of radio?

Hello, how would I do a setup with fixed base?
@rajsingh0621
@rajsingh0621 2 жыл бұрын
You'll need a 3rd GPS - and upload a configuration file called Base into it, and then some sort of radio connection to send the RTK correction signals to these GPS (moving base and rover)
@carlgarcia2719
@carlgarcia2719 3 жыл бұрын
HI! The base has to be in Fix Mode: TIME (not 3D) for it to send corrections to the rover right? How were you able to do it if it is a moving base? I was only able to get it to TIME whenever I input the position of the base. Thank you
@rajsingh0621
@rajsingh0621 2 жыл бұрын
TIME mode is needed for a Fixed Base (A GPS that is not moving) and that GPS will be sending RTK corrections to these GPS shown in the video. These are called Moving Base and Rover (in the front - or the one connected to the front antenna). ArduSimple makes it "simple" that you can connect both GPS together on top of each other with their SimpleRTK2B and SimpleRTK2Lite boards. The lite board fits on top of the other board

First i was confused on how you connect UART to USB directly with dfferent logice level and protocol structure, later i've realized that Xbee UART is hardwired to USB2 via FTDI to USB converter. UART on second USB is the same UART on Xbee

Why arent you use the original u-blox configuration files as provided by u-blox here: github.com/u-blox/ublox-C099_F9P-uCS/tree/master/zed-f9p See also: www.ardusimple.com/configuration-files And: A tutorial that uses a 3r radio (like yours!) and wires everything up (in a much higher video resolution) would be nice. Think also to include some powering infos ;-)

Excellent tutorial, thank you so much. We have successfully built the base station, now building the rover. Q. Is is possible to use your method when using GPS rover + heading gps shield too? We would like the rover to be able to give us corrected heading data as well, but we are unsure how to do this using your method?

Hi and thanks for the video I am just a novice at this but I was thinking about how to get a more exact position for a base station. In the UK we have trig markers which we know the exact position of. If you could put the base station on one of these trig points could you use the rover to get a cm accurate position of your own base station. Clearly you would have power and configure the base station at the trig point so do you think it is possible? Bob

Great work, thank you for sharing it. I am very interested in using the setup you are using for a heading sensor on a sailboat. It is a lot to spend and I am interested in finding out accuracy you have been able to get with your set up. What calibrations have you done and can you share. Thanks Jack Edwards

There are 7 wires, one for each plus pole. The minus pole has to be connected via the solder pad with an extra wire not included.
