I went with Super ATV 4 inch portals and HCR long travel on my expedition and it was horrible. The HCR arms cracked all of them and literally snapped in half and the portal leaked badly. Super ATV is going to send me their bill at version and I’m getting rid of the long travel because I don’t go to the dunes very much

Is that going to be a production kit? Did you flip the portal brackets from side to side in order for the outer tie rod end to mount in the front of the spindle rather than the rear?
@SlikRokProductions2 ай бұрын
Yes this is a production kit for Dirt Direct UTV hydro systems. The kit comes 80% complete. You have to modify and fabricate outer tie rod mounts onto your existing portal brackets. Just swapping side to side puts the tie rod location all out of whack. You then also have to make your own tie rod shafts but does come with weld in bungs with threads.

Hey guys, been watching your vids for a few days now. Very helpful. I'm want 4" portals on my 2018 Polaris General Deluxe. I run 30" ITP Blackwater right now 3" SATV Bracket lift, no sway bars, stock clutching at this time. Just added SATV high clearance rear 1.5" rear arms, I'll be adding the 1.5" SATV arms in the front too. I have Camso tracks for winter. Run in mountains fire roads forest , rocks, some mud. Like to Add 4" portals 34 to 37" tyres. Any suggestions for my ride? Gen 3 cast adequate? What do you suggest.

I have read posts that state it's not good to run portals in rocks. I ride in the southeast, and the trails can be really rocky. Are portals very susceptible to damage by objects? What are your thoughts?

You should watch our videos because all we do really is rock crawl with portals. We have never taken a portal out by hitting anything. They tuck pretty good into the wheels.

Howzit bro, newly installed gdp 4”portals on my 2021 ranger. 15 percent reduction. 32” on stock rims. Hi-lifter offset suspension and axles. Took it out on the trail this past weekend. Noticed when I got home that it was leaking by the rear hubs. Took portal off and found that the seal where the axle goes into the portal popped off. Any idea why? Trail ride was not anything out of the ordinary.

And I cannot understand why. I've seen terrible jeep groups, leaving a trail of beer cans you could follow behind them. Rutting out the trails with tires so big that nothing else can go behind them. Cutting trees. Most of the sxs people I know pick up trash, and just want to Sunday ride, climb some rocks and have a nice day.
