One thing I noticed you were having issues on your manual commands they were rerouting because you were removing them from their Frontline position, if you set the tactic to fully aggressive your initial frontline will not reshuffle and will continue to push forward even if it's not in their best interest of survival. You can support with tanks or even heavier infantry. I usually don't mind abroad front line I let them all dig in high organization around 20 width. Not too expensive soft attack and everything is great but it really wears you out I usually just let them dig in and move forward and manually control the blitzers from behind you can use your tactics as well too automate some of them and keep your favorite division for yourself. I love to play as Italy but I had one game where you can slavia and Russia were united and they used Yugoslavia to push North into the heart of Germany I was playing pretty passive but at this point I realized I needed to do something I blitzed across the Yugoslavia captured territories cut the throat of the dragon and we encircled several hundred divisions that encirclement had so many Russians in it stacks of hundreds that one little maneuver brought both of them to their knees Germany pulled back I finished off Yugoslavia and got the hell off radar. I usually like to play more diplomac but when Germany just throws the game I got to do something I don't want to be the only fascist power left by myself lol

Whats the point of having generals if I have to manually assign divisions to each front line... this should be automatically and part of the skill of my generals. I should only instruct them which provinces I want to conquer and they should decide the attack plan, front lines, etc... :) I dont think Nation leaders were deciding how to attack..

If you focus your armies at targeted areas for capitulation wouldn’t the enemy break through from the other side with none of your soldiers there?

It was so nice when I finally was able to walk through poland, france and Belgium as Germany for the first time. I had previously playthroughs where It would take months to beat Poland then I would get stonewalled in Belgium by the allies then eventually lose entirely. But FINALLY I figured it out and took France with ease. So satisfying

I would assume alliances are possible, even across ideologies. After all, your plan to ally with the USSR 8:06 and turn your attention westward, is precisely what the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact accomplished.

I'm new to this myself, but would not creating separate armies for the three-pronged assault on Poland be preferable to simply assigning divisions to the multiple fronts? I would have thought this could help both from an organizational standpoint such as selecting all units on a front, to being able to assign individual generals to each front whose skills match the task and troop composition? Am just starting out, coming to terms with civilian and military factories, recruitment, trade and all the other nitty-gritty, but I'm thinking it would be interesting to replicate the German Sept 39 attack. They actually used not only multiple armies, but two separate army groups - von Bock's northern group racing thru the Polish corridor and von Rundstedt's southern army group marching on the capital, with some armies opting for sightseeing detours such as to Łódź and Kraków ;-).

I'm old enough so that my granddad WW II stories are actually dad's WW II stories. Stationed first in Greece, later in North Africa, he was the shining example of "how can I keep as far away from the front lines as possible, and make some cash on the black market" - the Harry Lime of Tobruk. One favourite story was how he was constipated while all his comrades were suffering from diarrhoea. The dinnertime story - preferably when guests were present - began with: "I had to dig it out with a stick." But I digress. Still need to watch this walk-thru. BBL.

The Panzer 1 and 2 were build from 32-39 and Panzer 3 was build from 36-42. The panzer 4 was build from 36-45.

I am 12 minutes in. You carry on for some ten minutes before getting to the how to use this horrible battle planner. Why anyone would use this is beyond me. I do not want divisions to move, front shuffling. That is why I micromanage everything, with extravagant use of the pause button.
