We added a small 4 channel amp for all the speakers to work . The amp is out of the way under the passenger seat . You can also do a sound bar instead 4 speakers . We think is better!

The Sprinter came with a basic Audio system and it did not bring the MBUX .

The only way this kit won’t fit is if you have the premium B&O system . The Raptor on this video has the basic sound system . We did use the MFT1 kit . Again it will only work with the basic audio system 😢

@ I don’t have the SONY or a B&O system in my ‘16 lariat- so it should work. I figured they had to be similar. Appreciate the reply!

@@lsvtec86 It should work , the kit comes up for it , maybe Chructhfield has not tested the head unit . I would contact your local car stereo shop and ask . Also give chructhfiled a call and ask them why it won’t fit .

@ I spoke with Crutchfield earlier today. The only thing they could tell me was it may interfere with the dash kit needed to put it in. I know on the F150 there is a bracket that can be removed for extra clearance. I’m sure Crutchfield isn’t going to recommend removal- so IMO, they list it as non compatible.

Kieth, usually the button is retain with the steering wheel controls buttons . Some times there is a setting on the head unit under factory vehicle settings . We used the Maestro Idatalink module

There no solution for it yet . But when there is a solution you would have to go with an aftermarket system to have the feature

We are using the interface from RDVFL . It’s a plug and play interface that allows you to do wireless Car Play on the factory screen

We us the Metra dash kit .

The one on the top goes to the main gram of the vehicle. We also use the factory seatbelt bolts on the side!

We used the same vehicle battery and we put a battery isolator . This sprinter is used for hire so there was no need to add any extra batteries.

I have a problem, my car coming with two baterys, with the vehicle battery and another for the tv and plugs that stay in the walls, but i am from Honduras, the car only have the car battery, the seller say me that i neeed to put another baterry for the tv and plugs, but i do not know, if is 9v or 12v

The battery of the tv stay under the copilot seat, when cross the border, no coming the baterry and the tv and the plugs does not work

The second battery should be a 12volt battery and it should be wired with a battery isolator . I would suggest to take it to a professional car audio shop or rv shop where you live .

The kit come with 1 T13 remote , 1R5 remote , the antenna with the proximity feature . That’s all . To have the installation done you would need a DC3 or CMX brain to control the remote start or alarm . You also need the Alarm kit for the alarm to work . There is no need to retain the Sync system . The new unit has everything you need and you are able to control most of everything with the steering wheel controls. With Wireless Car play and Android auto , you get voice controls

Sync sends vehicle reports to the ford dealership when there's a potential problem
