Love this song (& this band)! Missed this concert in 2018, so I'm glad these videos are posted!! Wish I could find pics & vids from when they were here at the college around '98 when I first saw them.

Hey Chris, awesome video! Can't believe I hadn't seen this before. You seriously rock, and I hope you can make it out to see us this year! We're on Friday July 19 at 5, and it would be awesome to catch up with you!

Sound guy...great job. Light man, this just doesn't cut it at all. You aren't adding anything to this performance, zilch, zero, not a damn thing. Looks like a random cheese ball chase scene. If the band is paying you, you need to execute a full refund immediately.

Accidentally clicked on this and I’m surprised I’ve never heard this band. Not bad at all. They go from sounding a little like PINK FLOYD then straight into METALLICA heaviness.

Saw the band for the first time, and was blown away after only hearing the radio songs beforehand. I love the progressive edge to so many of the songs. This and and the seamless change into the next song were an outstanding way to start the set.

On the last EP Ian dug deep in 80s prog. That intro to In Fair Light is a killer!

How about a huge hand for the sound technician. Wow. What a great job making the band sound as fantastic as they are.

When you're got Ian Thornly & Big Wreck it makes the sound man's job really easy.
@JustinC905 Жыл бұрын
Sounds great, but I think Ian really misses Brian. They're using a loop here for things in the beginning. Including bass. I'm sure no one can replace Brian, but I hope they find a suitable musician that brings what he did. I'm kinda missing it too. But In Fair Light is such a solid tune. I;m not sure how much I've listened to it on Spotify, probably about 10 times a day.
@naus27711 ай бұрын
The beginning is a backing track because none of what is played is actually guitar. It's all synths on the recording, aside from the lead. They are also using it as a cue for when they all come in. There's no replacing Brian but Chris is ridiculously good and Dave is fantastic bass player. It's all just normal backing tracks that happen now with a ton of bands. Also gives the chance to tune guitars without silence on the stage or banter (Ian is not the type to get chatty between songs).
@JustinC90511 ай бұрын
@naus277 Makes sense for sure. Still love them. The new album is wicked. I hope the next album is a bit more progressive. The ending of In Fair Light is fucking insane. The whole tune is wicked, but the end really gets me going with the crescendo to 6/5 or whatever it is. Sekou is great at that type of stuff.
