As a former Tuba player, this was quite a treat. I played Tuba in College along with several other instruments - Euphonium, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba... Bass Clarinet, Tenor, and Bari Sax.

Bro out here hitting Euphonium ranges so easily. I could never. I had a different arrangement of this for my last year of playing in high school, and while I was semi-decent, I will likely never be able to take it this up to speed.

Great sound and interpretation! I am a tuba player, and when I tell some people they get a silly grin on their faces and they go "oompah, oompah", and laugh. They ought to listen to your video sometime.

Great upper register but the lack of vibrato on the higher held notes makes it sound fairly harsh.

I would just like to say, for all the people speaking badly of this obviously talented young musician. I want to see each individual who has passed a bad comment , to post a video of equal or greater skill. Then and only then does that give you the right to talk like that. I've been playing tuba for 12 years, I'm finishing college this year and all i can say is you guys and girls are obviously just jealous. So keep those bad opinions to yourself. try posting something helpful for once.

Ah man, I love This concerto, if I could play it like you I would be entirely happy, if I could hit the high notes I would be even happier. I'm working my way up the scales slowly but surely. I played the "second tuba" part for the university by my home and the woman playing the solo played on an F tuba, it seemed to be simpler for her. You are awesome at Tuba!

Phenomenal! He sounds like an ace professional. I mean for such a young buck he's TIGHT! The articulation is clean and crisp on the swift runs and the lyrical passages are smooth, sweetly soaring, and lovingly moving in nuance, like an ice skater gliding around effortlessly on air in the olympics. This boy needs an agent. BTW What's SumoMan89 goddamn problem?! Did his father 1 day make him wear a dress to school on punishment back when he was in the 5th grade and he never got over that since?
