"Round up ready". It's a shame agriculture has come to this. I understand why--farmers are in an extremely difficult position--but Monsanto/Bayer are creating legacies that will haunt us for generations to come.

My wife and I were in Yellowknife for Aurora hunting and photography the first half of October 2024. We were right beneath this while it happened. My wife had never seen the Aurora before. Now she can't get enough of it!

Beautiful! I love it when we get that unusual yellow-green along the horizon. I was watching a sunrise the other morning with the same colours, a glorious way to start the day.

@@polarzxo1530 it's a Ricoh Theta SC2 360 camera ...manual photo setup ..interval shooting of images that are edited into video. I use a plugin on DaVinci Resolve to make my Tiny Planet. It's not an ideal camera for this application, but it does take decent night images. I can see the whole sky. Not enough resolution to zoom in very much.

@ very cool! if you aren’t already you should try using it to capture tonight/tmrws annual peak of the taurids meteor showers. i’m out there observing at the moment

What lens gives you such a wide FOV but a flat horizon?

Thank you for asking! 😊It is a 360 degree camera - and I edit in Davinci Resolve. This is a timelapse created from photo images. That is why exposure and resolution are better. I was able to capture excellent video in real time with a Sony a6000 DSLR - my video called "Beautiful Major Aurora Borealis" from the same night is from that camera. The full moon allowed me to lower the ISO to get less grainy video. Video captures better Auroras during the full moon - still image sequences are better with no moon, in my experience. I also shoot with GoPro Hero and DJI Action Cameras and can correct wide angle lens images with Davinci Resolve.
