The first time I saw "Dallas" was around 1983/84 in Germany, when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I've loved this series ever since. And this intro made me cry endlessly back then... . Thank you for the wonderful years, Mr. Hagman. I will NEVER forget you!

The title should be "Tōbí with an "í" since he specifically said it had an accent over the "í" and line over the "ō" so you know it has a long vowel sound and not a short one.

Quite noticeable this episode was filmed on videotape not film. I wonder what the reason was? Corrie’s exterior scenes would continue to be on film for another couple of years.

The hot air balloon floating over the castle…..that’s where I live. Eilean Donan Castle not far from the Skye Bridge that crosses Lochalsh onto the Isle of Skye. I always liked the balloon idents….differents places in Britain that you may not get to visit so you can watch them for a few seconds.

I think this is possibly the first time we heard the extended theme this much since the 1960s. So very rare indeed. The old theme was so much better than the current revamped version.
