Hi, I'm from Brazil and I live here in Brazil. That motorcycle is coming next year. I'm glad the way you talk, because most of the guys talk like they are in a hurry or competition, and it's hard to understand what they are saying. You talk in a good rhythm. Probably I'll buy one. Nowadays I have a BMW GS 1250 , until 56 years old I ride sports bike and now I'm 67 years, and I'm missing the 4 cylinders... Thanks for your opinion!

Had my Super Adventure for 15 months now. Got it from Jim Aim! The roads you filmed on I use every day for my commute. An observation, I think you were in a gear too high for most situations. You were in 4th in 30s whereas I'm in 3rd (was 2nd on my SuperdukeR). It takes the revs a bit higher which gets rid of a low down vibes completely and makes the bike much more responsive. And on those roads most of the time I find the engine much more responsive in 5th. 6th is really an overdrive and not much use below 60 (some will say 70+). Personally I think you were keeping the revs too low thereby accentuating the engine vibes. It's really much much happier above 4k. None of this is any criticism of you or the video, just an observation from an owner. It's nice to see tests done on the roads I use, keep up the good work and maybe see you at Finch on my RD350F2 next year.

It's impressive how KTM have made a monster V twin act so smoothly at low revs around town. My early 1200 Multistrada certainly didn't like low revs. It will be interesting what price this model goes for once the new ones are sitting in the showroom. Thanks for showing us the bike. Nice one Murt. I’ve never considered a KTM. Would I at some point in the future? Perhaps. I’m still in love with my GS1300. It would be fun to test ride without doubt. The orange is a bit much for me I’d dial it down with a silver colourway I think and the silencer would have to swapped out for something smaller, black and more attractive. Im test riding a GSA1300 on Saturday with the ASA. I look forward to your review of that big boy.

Just started my 400C. RZ this week had some issues but all's well now...Here in the US we got the cinnamon swirl wheels and the flat head light on the '82 Seca 650 which I bought new as a leftover for half the MSRP. That got traded for an '89 bumblebee DT50/LC which is still in service.

Brings back fond memories. I bought a new black 350LC in December '81 from Team Ham Yam Racing who were based in Chester-le-Street at the time. Not sure if they're still in business? Admittedly, it wasn't my favourite bike over the years, as it was a bit light and skitterish over road imperfections, particularly in the wet. Keeping its finish was also a bit of a pain, as the road salt 'loved' it😢. It was, however, great fun to ride and had an exciting (but short) power band. Would like to have another in the garage to tinker with, but prices, even for a rough dog, are unreal.

Fellow GSA 40th anniversary owner here. The main thing I’d love to have on the 1250 GSA, are the “elephant ears” of the crash bars. The 1300 GSA ended the highway peg addition 😅 Other than that, I’m sticking with my 1250. The “improvements” aren’t enough for me to warrant an upgrade, and the design…I can’t get behind it. Although, the new side cases do look good.

I’ve toured Europe last 3 summers on my trusty 1250 gsa 2up. 35k miles later I’ve traded it for the GSA1300 ASA after riding the ASA version. It’s a gearbox that gives you the best of everything you just need to select Road/dynamic modes in combination with either auto or manual depending on how you want to ride…. Sporty, briskly, or touring. Good video 👍

Seen a few reviews of the GSA now. Where as the new GS seems to have gone a bit smaller and more sporty than the 1250 the 1300 GSA is more of what the market expects of a GS/GSA.

Yep agree with you on that. The GS is a bit smaller and like you say “sporty” it feels more nimble. The 1250 is still an awesome bike. I took a big pill in March to upgrade a 23 gs to my 24 gsa so along with that even bigger pill I’m guessing and the fact I’ve got the 3 year service pack I think I’ll be resisting until March 2027 (famous last words 😂) Not sure what colour I’d pick. The one thing this new GSA does for me is make me think the new 1300 GS actually looks good. Regarding the seat, when I had mine set to Lo/Lo front and rear, it had me leaning forward and sitting on parts I’d rather not be sitting on. When I set it to Hi/Lo front and rear, it leveled out the seat for me - maybe that’s what was going on with your test ride? Thanks for posting, Murt - ride safe - Greg

This so called bike is very very ugly and like a lot of modern bikes but especially BMW takes away the actual experience of what it is to ride a bike because of all it's computer do das. Where is the wind in your face, the wrestling your bike around corners , the feel of what the bike is doing under you, even the exhuast sounds like it does not want to offend Joe Public. Bland, ugly and as far removed from bike riding as anything on two wheels can get. I would love you to get off one of these and straight on to an old school bike where you have to use your hard learned but I am sure not forgotten true bike riding skills with out any of these let's make it a car on two wheels aids. I bet you a pint Murt I know which bike would give you a bigger buzz. I hope all is good with you and Sally Cuz.

He said when sunny outside put your Navigator on your car’s dash so it would become very hot. My Navigator being useless I had nothing to lose.
