Yes! Even if you lose the contest you still get to keep the Pokémon you caught. But if you catch multiple Pokemon in the contest you only get to keep one.

Kingler has a base catch rate of 60. It’s not likely to stay in the ball at full HP with no status. 😅

Just accidentally ran into one of these bad boys while doing a separate outbreak and got so exited when I saw the sparkles lol thank god I wasn’t looking where I was walking

I really recommend this hunt, it’s fast and easy. Only downside is you aren’t guaranteed to get the starter you want. 😅 I’ve done it 3 times and gotten 2 Chikoritas…. Good luck!

Shiny Gengar looks fine in gen 4, too. Except for HGSS. That's literally when the downfall of shiny Gengar started. In HGSS they changed regular Gengar's purple shade and the eyes as well

I have a few DSs that are moded with capture cards. They allow me to plug my DS directly into my computer and capture the screen on there. I also have a GameCube with an HD adaptor that I capture with an Elgato capture device.

Have you ever accidentally hurt one of the electrodes and then run away. Does this affect the hunt? I’m over 20k and counting…

Attacking one of the Electrodes shouldn't affect anything. The game generates a different Electrode every encounter, similar to encountering random pokemon in the grass. I went almost 22K before finding a Shiny, sometimes we just get unlucky..... Good luck on your hunt though! Hope you find it soon!

I’ve honestly grown to like it a lot more over the years as well. I still prefer Cyndaquil, but at least it’s competitive for the number 2 spot with Totodile! 😆

No, switching between different hunts doesn’t change your chances of finding a Shiny Pokémon.

these are good side hunts to do, between the other ones. I also do this, but it gets hard sometimes, because the daycare man stops giving eggs. Just got a shiny electrode yesterday :D major congrats

Congrats on your Electrode! I ended up finding mine eventually, but it was one of the longest hunts I’ve ever done 😅. I’ll be uploading that reaction in a week or so.

I remember my last 4 hunts i did with the shiny ditto breeding which are houndour and the johto starters and got the all under 60 eggs but for some reason my pokemon crystal was gone and had to download a new one.
