Novice here: I thought I replied to someone here about what the first layer is: I think I said forsythia, but, no, it's spirea, a lovely, sprawling base layer, and a great stem to use to cover the "mechanics" (the tape). T/Y, Kelly!

Wow! The sweet, gentle comments throughout are so educational! Thank you! Can't wait to learn more about "movement." What is the name of the very last flower added; the one borrowed from the other arrangement? So dainty! Please advise.

Can we purchase that vase? With flowers being as expensive as they are, it would help to practice on a small arrangement -- and that vase shape is so classic with a wide opening at the top allowing for endless experimentation. Please advise. Thank you!

My appreciation of this flower designer's talent grew inch by inch. What a stunning finish! I also so appreciate realizing that this is something I could do! Thank you for this visual tutorial. Definite new subscriber because in this rough and tumble world we live in now, flowers are just about the only things left that can predictably lift one's spirit.

I just finished this class! Don't know if anyone will see this, but this class was amazing! As a young person hoping to open my own business (flower farm/florist) I was so inspired and learned so much! Thank you Kelly and Kathleen! God bless you both :)

Thank you for this great video. I have a giant limelight that I stake every spring because it falls over. I prune it every year, but now I know I've been doing it incorrectly. Poor limelight 😢

I think you meant to say you would prefer bigger blooms and less of them but you said more blooms and less of them. LOL

Hello. I am so grateful for this video. I am in zone 8 Georgia. My limelight hydrangeas have just started growing green leaves. Can I still cut the old bark and still get blooms this season? I would greatly appreciate a response. Peace / Love.

I've seen a beautiful limelight pruned like a small tree - maybe a 3-4 inch diameter trunk and about 7 or 8 feet high. It's in a waterfront park in Bay City, Michigan. I prune my limelight like you did, except cut at about 48 inches tall. The shrub sits in the far backyard, mostly shady, and has gorgeous blooms at about 7 to 8 feet high in late summer.

I tried carefully reflexing the petals from a bouquet of grocery store roses and they kept cracking/splitting the petals - is there a trick to it, or did I just get too firm of roses? Help!

I asked this from Flower Moxie, and she said to let them dehydrate a little (out of water an hour or so, I'm guessing. It's what I did) and to make sure they've warmed up to room temp. I did, and they still cracked. Must have been very fresh.
