I have so many WIP's and some i can't finish because I'm broke 😭and can't afford to buy more yarn right now. The other ones are because I'm slightly lazy and starting projects are easier than finishing them. You're definitely inspiring me to want to learn to knit tho😁.

I love your selection! 😊 I'm not sure this is your style, but here are my favorite knitting designers that make more "fun" patterns: le_pull_le_pull (disaster top for instance) and milenapauliina (ex: Tekla top).

I'm knitting my first cardigan right now in a similar yarn to this, just in a periwinkle shade, so it's so nice to see an approximation on the process and look. I too looks so cozy, and I love the bow!

hiii i found your account like a month ago and i love love love your vibe and your warmth, youre so sweet and i honestly wish you all the best. ive only been knitting since last december (like 8 months) and im jumping out of my comfort zone into making a raglan top down jumper! its my first time and im nervous (hate M1L with a passion) but your friendliness is accompanying me while i knit, so please please keep uploading (ive watched all your vids, love your content so much). i love the sit down and talk videos about your plans bc they inspire me for my next projects, especially that im leaning more into more practical garments that i will actually wear. i also love your knitting vlog videos so i would personally love to see the red(?) boatneck tank top you want to do, even if its just going along with the pattern. if youd want to make it more interesting tho, you could combine it with a Q&A/yap if you are able to multitask as you knit. if not, then just a shorter video of like day-in-the-life vlog with some fibre arts threaded through (no pun intended) would also be lovely. also you have such a sweet and soothing voice i love listening to you talk. all in all, i love your content so much and please contnue it as long as you enjoy it yourself <33

So happy I came across this video! I do love my classic pieces that I can just throw on without any planning, but I've been looking for some more fun projects as well. I'm still kind of a newbie to knitting but will definitely be making that first crochet piece as soon as I figure out what color I want it to be in

how do you get from the body to sleeves or make a shape or different pattern for the neckline/collar Like do you need to knit parts separately and then put them together? That was what I was always confused about and what stopped me from starting bc I used to knit some long random pieces like a shawl but couldn’t bring it further than that 😂 I wouldn’t know how to turn that into a sweater
@natashacrawf6 күн бұрын
I’m assuming you’ve never used a pattern or tutorial for your knitting? They have explanations for all this! I wouldn’t have been able to knit this without the pattern for sure 🫢 there are plenty of free knitting patterns for any sort of garment if you search on Google 💫

Such cool patterns! Im definately a neutral millenial but when you spend a third of your day in an office(doing a job I love) it’s hard to keep doing crop tops and crop-out tops that I could never wear in my proffesional setting but I do love looking at them so I will keep watching. Im so happy that the crochet vs knitting and colorful vs neutral war has died down a bit. We are all crafters together, the one and the same and don’t have to keep comparing to each other. <3

I definitely don’t mean to discredit makers of any age! a lot of the creators i follow and love are older than me, what i meant to say is that i notice a trend of those older than me making and creating patterns for more timeless classic items and those younger than me tend to be more experimental - and both are stylish imo but just in different ways ☺️
@adeleisnamedafterme12 күн бұрын
As a new knitter, i also noticed that the knitting community is dominated by older women who have (in my opinion) boring styles, while the crochet community has all the cute tops and sweaters and accessories. This video is exactly what I was looking for!
@natashacrawf9 күн бұрын
I’m glad it helped you! I have to say personally I love the knitting community especially for winter clothes like sweaters, but I agree it can be hard to find patterns for cute lil tops ✨

It looks like the color work you did on your Lana top would be called stranded color work. So cool and impressive that you figured it out on your own!Intarsia is a different method where you lock the different colored strand on the back of the work and you don’t end up with those floats on the back. You should try it out, it’s fun! :)

Love this collection! I want to start making more clothes, but a lot of the patterns I find are for backless crop tops and while I think they look SO cute, it's not something I'm looking to wear myself so it was nice seeing a good variety of kinds of tops that are still stylish. I agree that in general, knitted tops look better than crocheted tops, though both can be gorgeous. As of right now, I'm only a crocheter, but I might have to expand to knitting too if I want to make some these tops!!

Girl look up what Lydia made!!! Her work is delightful and soooo well designed fit wise, highly customizable, and Lydia is Glasgow based 🦭. She also just released a super nice “going out” type of top that has an optional keyhole in the front, it was released around the same time as the mixed rib cami to. I’m making mine with the keyhole in both the front and the back ♥️👀.

I’m a crochet girly looking to get into knitting! I’ve got some wood & metal needles but I have no idea where to start. Any tips?
@natashacrawf18 күн бұрын
I started out with the beginner knitting kits from wool and the gang and we are knitters! they’re a bit expensive but the yarn is great and they give you all the materials and instructions you need - if you don’t wanna do that you could do any basic beginner pattern (like a scarf) with a bit of perseverance really. I think already knowing crochet will help you learn v quickly!

Hey I started knitting 2 years ago! I'll throw my 2cent in, start with a project you want! I wanted to knit socks so I followed a basic tube sock tut on youtube. Also, a great resource to learn how to hold yarn/knit/tension stuff etc would be ARNE & CARLOS - norwegian style knitting is the bomb
@otoxeipify14 сағат бұрын
I'll also add: the wood could be best to start because the stitches will "grip" to your needle more (fewer risks of them slipping). And you could begin with a small project, I started with beanies/hats, looking for patterns with only knit and purl stitches.
@dtsotm19 күн бұрын
hey just a warning about the bamboo yarn from sostrene grene! it’s really nice and soft but when i used it the yarn was constantly breaking!! it was my first project tho so maybe my tension was too tight
