buenkan is a very country like city and i enjoyed the stay there. i did quite a bit of shopping in lotus market they seem to have everything i needed for my trip there its like a walmart here in states. i did stay in the one hotel it was okay for me. now civilize hotel in udon thani is nice i recomend that hotel to everyone going to udon thani and looking for a place to stay.

After seeing this video, I bought garlic chives in a 4" pot at the garden center. I harvested the top, then divided the ~16 roots into 5 new clumps which are doing well. I have stayed here a few times. It is a lottery as to which room you get. Some are old with wonky air-con and hot water. A few have been modernised but generally, the hotel is old and tired. Also now there is a very limited breakfast and not the one shown here. Just a bowl of watery rice and coffee.
