This is what happens when you succumb to peer pressure. We lost many decades of honest music creation to atonal fads with non-melodic melodies and atonality ruling the day.

Really, these should be played on a cello. Cage was thinking of Bach.

Akin Euba is a mysterious man for me. It's hard to listen to his music, but his works seem very interesting. Thank you for having posted that work on KZbin.

Lovely performance of this unduly neglected music by an American master! Hello Tison! It's nice to finally see this possible line of communication to you on this KZbin video. I've listened over the years to your music and love it! Leon Kirchner first introduced us (his students at the time) to your Adagio for oboe and strings in his composition seminar. That would have been back in ca. 1984. I don't know if you remember me but we once had lunch together (with Jun Fu) at Dolphin Sea Food in Cambridge sometime back in the late 1980s. You once approached me at the Harvard Music Library to ask if I could recommend any piano trios to perform and, of course, I suggested the Korngold piano trio Op. 1, as I was "evangelizing" for his cause back then, when his music wasn't taken at all seriously. I would be interested in learning what you have been up to. If you are inclined, feel free to communicate with me by email thur my website at: composergarynoland.godaddysites.com/ It would be great to hear from you!

I love Igor- in general - and especially how he writes for Strings- The Violin Concerto and how he and Sam Dushkin collaborated- A soldier’s Tale is brilliant- Apollo- and In Le Sacre - after that amazing Bassoon open - the Violins! Supposedly he did not think he could write his VC - He and Sam found new - not fingerings but chords I would like to hear that and more of those crazy Cage sonatas
