@aimeelizabeth12 Thanks! :) The best thing you can do for your tone is to practice long tones [ugh] every day of course. Another thing I do for range and sound is play slow one octave chromatic scales up and down when I'm warming up. Of course, you need a LOT of air to get a good tone on a piccolo so make sure you take long deep breaths, which also helps to chill you out and calm you down when you're nervous. Hope you do good! I'd love to see a video of your performance :]
