I am very confident given their care for the other Plains states they have rolled out. Kansas and Nebraska all "feel" right from my time there. Then again, I've not lived there, so you will likely be a better judge. I think we have a year before we see Iowa. Thinking Arkansas and Missouri will come first and they have been every 4-6 months, leaning towards the latter time.

I hope they include the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, with the Grand Glaize Bridge on the south end and, on the north end, Bagnell Dam and all the gyp joints along the strip. Although the dam area probably wouldn't be a good trucking destination.

I'm around 320 hours in game according to Steam, so quite a bit compared to most I'd say. Just keep at it if you enjoy playing. And you do not need to reach to make something like TGC Tours, which is a bit like trying to make the PGA it seems. Very few get tour cards and I may never get there, but as you can see hundreds of rounds in I still play. You can stay in single player forever and have fun if that is your thing as well, but you are not forced to play a difficulty level. As such you can just get to whatever level you are winning as often as you want (for me I could probably win every event at lowest difficulty now and that's not fun. But for you it may be). That's a bit beyond what I can answer at this point. I've never spent much time in Giants Editor as it seems to just be a bit more than I want to spend time learning. I would think any asset like that will need you to find the objects in the editor and you may then be able to place them into a separate project. That's a total guess on what would be needed, but how you do it, etc. no idea. As you can see I was dealing with scripts here. That's more straight programming which I have a background in so it comes easier. Graphics are just something I'm delving into for a train sim, and maybe then I can understand the FS stuff more too.

Thanks for watching. It seems I am on the cusp of getting consistently solid play. I definitely can tell I'm feeling some strain as rounds get deeper and that may have played into that result on 18. I'd also say darn all those other bogeys. Just getting those to go away would also be a huge change.

I do not. I tried X-Plane for a hot minute and determined I'd rather fly then tinker with the software, so I switched to MSFS and never looked back. I heard the flight engine was "better" but talked with enthusiasts from both sides and determined it was not really discernable by someone like me and even real pilots disagree which is better.

This series used the Coast To Coast Map. I am no longer using it in a series as updates are far too far apart. I also was running many other maps like Reforma for Mexico, Discover Ontario which was likely the Canada you saw (ProMods Canada is not that good) etc. Yes, SCS has not gotten to the eastern US yet. If you watch my curreent Back To Basics series you will see all the SCS DLC available as I keep up to date with it. Last state added was Nebrasks.

Interesting. I had tried Manor Lords for a very brief time but returned it before my refund option was over. Seemed very, very different from this from what I saw. I actually thought the game mechanics were very poor for what it was. Maybe I misunderstood something but I would not have thought the mechanics were like this at all. As shown here I could jump right in with this and get moving, whereas Manor Lords seemed to revel in the "figure out what to do next" as part of the game play and the puzzle piece was not to my liking.

The designer tools makes it much easier than you expect. I do have an IT background so maybe the problem solving logic of any endeavor is something I am more drawn to. Certainly is a huge part of why sims are my favorite genre.

Yes, the official courses likely have a lot more design time into them. As far as the scores I would be curious if TGC used one of these what scores would be like. Just curious if even the top players would see lower scores as well proving out my theory or more complexity in the real courses we do not have in created ones.

Oh I know. What I'd don't know is how to improve it. Been chasing that for 8 months. At this point played tens of thousands of swings. So practice is not it. It just needs to coalesce or not.

Yeah, that one hurt. A lot. If I get the card before the end of the season then I know we have the 1-2 month break before next season typically so they will just work against me. That will be the real test if it happens. Can I maintain my form in the off season or will the wild parties and travelling to Monaco take it's toll?

That is the hope. The sim does limit you to six blocks and this is what they call a "large" map.

Yes, the FB group is fine. He's always working on another map so only concern I have ever had is the maps are released maybe updated once and then anything else that need tweaking never gets attention.

Yes, they are fading away for sure but for small towns they were a great source. Kind of like the general store. My dad is down in the Tampa area and they still have some there. He was just telling me the other day he had some weird screw he needed from and old machine and first place he thought of was Ace. Did not even bother with the big box stuff.

It just shows SCS is really working hard despite all the grumblers about why are they doing the boring states. People that live there do not think they are boring. No one forcing folks to buy them. The level of complaining is amazing to me.

Are you using custom maps? I've had that happen with that, especially if you are using a World of Trucks job. It generates something but then you can't actually execute it in the sim. That's partially why I went plain vanilla on the maps in this series. Got sick of fighting with things.

@@christianshadrick1150 Yeah those seemed to not work very well a few ATS versions ago. I've honestly not checked to see if they updated them as did not want to get in that cycle again. So do you own a trailer and it will not pick up, or when you say it won't let you pick up a load what do you mean? Honestly this type of conversation may be best on the Discord channel. I may not see comments on YT videos all the time. Plus you can toss up screen shots etc. Give that some thought. The "chatter" channels are all meant for that to dig into things as needed.

I've had Taco Johns in Texas. I tend to love Taco Bell and usually it is good. Not a fan of hard shell tacos, I prefer soft. The latest is the Big Cheez-It options they have. My wife tried one and said it was OK not not something she'd reorder. No Taco Bell on our trip so maybe tonight! :)

They offer a few yours, but Challenge is the main one. With Master difficulty and no aids. You get the tour card and get placed in a level, basically a flight. As you play you can move up levels and then there are elite things like Elite, Kinetic and Platinum, I think are most of them. So the levels are the "real one" just depends how high you get on how well you play. With regards to shooting -20, I have no idea. I get its just skill and practice but a lot of folks do pretty well.

Not sure I will be able to see the site after today, so it will be a surprise when I get back to go see what happened. Given I'm still in the 30s position wise thinking too many others have done better for me to get a card this week even with my best event ever. Oh well, will try it again when I get back.

Yes, I keep forgetting about the new career features that give you that visibility. I did go take a peek during recording these episodes just never came back and said anything. I'm not going to be able to do simming for the next week or so but I think I have enough set to publish on the 8 days schedule to keep things flowing in the truck sim world.

Thanks! I'm certainly feeling better about my game in the last few weeks. Wish I had realized the vsync setting had such an impact on my results far earlier. I feel like I was chasing ghosts to some degree.

You have to redo them every 3 crops (so three years if you single crop but every 1.5 years if you double crop).

I do not think the rankings in game on TGC actually reflect something you an translate into reality. Perhaps it is where I fall against all people in all levels of TGC Challenge, but not sure that is true either. There are currently 93 people on the Qualifying leaderboard, so far less that 262. There are also 12 actual levels of the Challenge Circuit, which each have at least 20-30 people in them that are making the cut line that tour levels have, so far more than 262 coupled with the 93. I sit at 42 right now, but that's with just two rounds as that is all I have played as of this moment.
