before you do anything stripping, the most common fault is the micro switches in the inside door handles,,, i just chaged both inside handle s and the lump it on and both doors work srt8 away.... but you got to get em open 1st..... sorry...

Thanks for the video. I appreciate you showing us where the fuses and relays are and including copies of the manual in English. Most people just show you the location but never translate for you.

That's not service light, these Vauxhall's really piss me off, anyway I had an engine light on saying it was EGR so I bought a new EGR valve then it solved it but this stupid spanner light came on intermittently, anyway after a good 100 miles of driving later the light has gone away.

It's not a service light. I have the same. Look in the manual. It's either. Water in fuel, or engine/transmission electronic issue.

yes but its when oil mixes with coolant that causes the chemical the main cause is the head gasket worn/broken

Hi, I have an 1.6 too (X16XEL) I have to replace the fuel filter tomorrow. Thank You for this video now I know what to do..but. I checked fuel filter replacement with google and found that I should remove a fuse (maybe what is for the AC pump) then try to start the car ( decompress the fuel system). Is there a difference between the two method? Your solution (with the fuel cap) is much more better for me :D (but I hope it will be enough) Thank You very much for Your answer.

Hi thanks for asking I think I got away with it my method more because the it was stationary for some time, there’s a number of ways to decompress the system. But that’s the only method I knew at the time from the fuel cap I could here hissing and left the cap off. As you don’t want the fuel to shoot out. When you are successful on a petrol car make sure the arrow is facing the right direction. When it’s replaced turn the key in the ignition 2 clicks the lights all illuminate on the dash wait for a minute or so to prime the new filter then let the car run Good luck

I've got the same A3 1.6 BSE petrol car and have a problem whereby the OBD2 port is getting power to the scanner but not able to communicate. Was it a fuse change that sorted your problem? Thanks

Hi yeah sorry for the reply I heard changing the fuse for the OBD2 and I think it shares the same fuse as the cigarette lighter
