As a mom this breaks my heart. I can’t imagine, children smoking or drinking, let alone adult. Honestly I don’t have words just heartbreak. The harm it does to an adult let alone child. I am so glad you have learned from these things! You are such an amazing person! Keep doing the right things!

ohhh I get it! 💔it's just such a norm in Ukraine, but we all learn. it is sad though.

@@svetastrader-goinglight882 my heartbreak comes even from some of our own family members here in the states. We have some relatives that are so addicted they can’t even fend for themselves. Jobs are never the same, it’s hard for them to keep a job. And they can’t even put food in their fridge bc they would rather spend it on booze, alcohol and pot. Sadly they are so addicted they never change. You are blessed you learned at a young age!:)

Thank you 🙏 thank you for sharing your story! I am so glad I found you. We are looking to adopt from Ukraine 🇺🇦! I can’t tell you the joy o feel to adopt from there. We have 4 young children but we have hearts to open our home to more! Possibly two Ukrainian children it means a lot for us to adopt a sibling set or at least two kids so they don’t feel alone in the transition. I am listening intently to everything you are saying about, food, culture, smiling too much and walking 🚶♀️! Where is the food, the good news is my husband is Canadian French. He did grow up in the USA but overall he only ate bland food. He really doesn’t enjoy any ethnic food. And like you said even with the barbecue sauce, if we do pulled pork, there is only a very little barbecue in the dish if at all any so hopefully we would be okay there?;) I am also very blessed that my very best friend is from Russia 🇷🇺 so she could help us with the language barrier. I am also very blessed that I know a lady that just got access to all the Orphanages in Ukraine. She has adopted two special-needs boys of her own from Ukraine And she is from the USA but her and her husband are moving to Ukraine permanently this year. So I will have her to help me through the process. I am also blessed because my dad is a pastor and we support missionaries in Ukraine, that help with orphanages. They also are going to help us. And I am also blessed because I met a girl who just came to the states and a visa from Ukraine. And she also said she would help me with the process. We also have a big Russian church that is about 45 minutes away from us in Ma. (We live in Connecticut) So I am hoping to take the kids to visit the Russian church so they can at least Here are some of their native language. Please send my your thoughts!:) thank you and God bless!

That's awesome you're adopting and are making connections to bring the children's language and culture to your home. Sounds like you've really thought about it a lot. ❤️
