Still commenting in 2024 because I come back to this all the time. Rachel tucker is by far the best Elphie I have ever seen on stage (I’ve seen many London Elphies). The absolute nailing of such an impossibly difficult song to sing is not only astounding in this video but live? It’s jaw dropping. She stretched it to its limit like a BOSS! Her Fiyerooooo riff is unbeatable. Stomped all over it and made it look so easy. And she did this so many nights a week? Much love for musical theatre performers. Wow.

I must have watched every Elphaba and none are as captivating as Rachel Tucker. I so wish she was cast in the movie. I feel like I won’t be able to enjoy it as well knowing how much better it (probably) would be with Rachel. She’s magic!

Right? She’s literally the best ever. She played this role longer than anyone else ever has, I think it was what 3/4 years on and off across broadway and westend. She’s absolutely Incredible

I feel the same as she is my fave elphie on stage but man… Cynthia Erivo? She is magic and beautiful and such a rising star! Just saw the movie and have tears haha!

@@jordanjmichaels I was lucky enough to get to see Rachel play her twice on Broadway. Wicked was my first Broadway experience, and it was on Halloween in 2015 with my mom. It was called Wicked Day because I believe it was the 12th anniversary being on Broadway. We got a cool Wicked Day bag with goodies and the entire audience was in a photo with the cast after the show that they posted online. Amazing memory.

Listened again, it sounds to me like she slurs together, "well LOOKIT TWHAT TWELL meant did....." But on the 3rd listen trying to hear "who" I DID hear that lol..... 😂 idk. Must be the accent confusing me.

i came back to this AAAAGAIN!!! because ugh…NEVER fails to give me the chills and bring a tear to my eye. this is just. transcendent? otherworldly? there are no words. she IS elphaba and i’m so unbelievably happy to say that i got to see her during her broadway run. i like unhinged my jaw from how much i was (quietly) screaming. Rachel, my beloved…
