them lights are a hit and miss when it comes to aftermarket support so I never got to upgrade them do to so many not being the right size for the H2 .

Not the bcm . Had a couple of guys trying to track the problem with no success at all. This guys worked on H2s for years and after going through a few batteries in a really short amount of times I just decided it was time to stop spending time chasing what ever the issue was. We replaced several things including older water damaged wiring harnesses with no success at all.

All purpose grease should work.

Its been a known issue for onstar to kill the battery on older vehicles for years ask any older gm tech and he’ll tell you .

Again I’m not saying it couldn’t I’m saying do your due diligence. Onstar should only look for a signal if activated. I have 2 gms in my driveway 04 and 05 with analog onstar. I’m sure there are other factors with the vehicles with voltage issues as gms are persnickety.

@AG-tm3yc the old analog onstar module is always looking for a signal that will never find cause it was shut down after gm started to offer the upgraded units to transition to digital signal.all the module needs is power to be constantly looking for a signal weather it was activated or not . Back in the days it was a normal piece of advice from the service guys to tell customers assuming your onstar is the issue just jank the unit out or just pull the power cable from behind the module and you be all set )

I don’t recall factory remote start being an option . I rather recommend a newer alarm system that has remote start.

Not anymore sold it almost a year ago. Bilstein shocks is what I had and was pretty happy with it for the daily commute.

Sometimes the rubber boot it’s weak and it already has little holes in it at that point its probably best to replace everything with new parts

Assuming you got The OEM hitch you can go to any ford dealer parts department and they should be able to give you a print out with the installation instructions the one I got is the one service uses for every install. Keep in mind some dealers even if you buy parts from them tell the parts guy not to give it to you (instructions I mean) sort of trying to push customers to pay the dealer for installation.

I sold the truck a year ago but that climate control unit was working fine and no sunroof issues in the 10 plus years I had it thankfully.

@@dailydrivenH2 thank you for your response and the video. My 03 H2 is blowing hot on one side and semi cold on the other with all the components new the only thing I haven't changed is the climate control unit. Any idea where I could take it to an Orange County California?

Not at all I had started the H2 when it was almost dead but it will definitely show signs of wickedness compared to when is fully charged.

NOt sure how they handle that even under warranty.

All new trucks are waste of money. You pay too much for what most people will end up using it for. You better off just buying a minivan to move your paint cans and manure to you home 😊

Ok when you say lights go off you’re referring to the interior lights??? I had to replace the switches up on top in the middle that control the lights cause water got in there from the middle lights and ruined the board that’s behind the 2 black buttons that turn on the interior lights and was causing all kinds of problems including draining the battery cause lights will be acting weird.

@dailydrivenH2 yes the interior lights stay on and cause the battery to die. I replaced the ignition switch and still same issue. I took it to a mechanic, he changed the ignition switch too and then he found out that whenever he disconnected the wipers the interior lights would turn off but as soon as he plugged it back on the interior lights would stay back on. Could it be possible to make a quick video on the switches ? Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

Shut up, this guy is right , the only way tesla do it is by replacing everything so you will spend well over 700$ plus, this way is about 20$ , if corrot over time its ok because you replace everything but it lasted well over 2+years . @J_boogie_ one single hole with a needle won’t hurt at all anyone that works at a shop or that has ever worked on their own vehicle knows this rubber get poke often by debris bigger than a tiny needle hole . Now common sense will tell you that pocking the rubber 97 times won’t work obviously.
