Here's mine!... This is an T-REX 550X Dominator I stretched out to fit the fuselage. She has plenty of room and plenty of power. Hovers at half throttle. She's going to get a facelift and going to be converted to an Military helicopter. Pictures photos.app.goo.gl/tPGp2Kx6iVCfKfcx8 Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGq4eWime5ajepI

How did you mount the frame to the fuze? Were those rubber grommets, did you need longer screws?
@RogerGostasson4 жыл бұрын
I was using hard plastic standoffs to get the right stance for the mechanics in the fuselage, this requires longer screws.
@ryanmlt14 жыл бұрын
@@RogerGostasson Ahh I just ordered the kit, did the mechanics sit too low?
@RogerGostasson4 жыл бұрын
@@ryanmlt1 Wow, congratulations!! :) Id thought it did, i was using a T-rex 700L Dominator for mechanics.

Which rotor head? Have been thinking about getting the 4-bladed head from HK and a set of the asymmetrical blades, for my TT Innovator, aimed at carrying a small camera gimbal.
@RogerGostasson6 жыл бұрын
Hello and sorry for late reply! At first I was using Aligns 4-bladed rotor head with asymmetrical blades, later on I fitted a 5-bladed head from RC Aearodyne with asymmetrical blades from Spinblades.
@PiDsPagePrototypes6 жыл бұрын
The Spinblades any good? They're what I was looking at too.

What a turd burglar. Got trapped in the ice and then panicked and went full forward cyclic. Maybe cool down there hotshot.
@RogerGostasson6 жыл бұрын
Van Litespeed Wrong, he disengage the throttle hold at the end and that's what caused the crash.
@vanlitespeed6936 жыл бұрын
Roger Göstasson yes, he got out of thottle hold and it started to bailout full speed spool up and it got trapped in the ice and tilted causing the tail rotor to hit and he went full forward cyclic the whole time, watched it in slow mo. Never understood why guys when something is going wrong think giving so kinds o cyclic is going to is things. Basics, back to the basics.

Can you please give some feedback about how the VTX blades are better than the Rotortech blades? Any positives? and negatives? Would you recommend up-grading? cheers
@RogerGostasson6 жыл бұрын
I have only tried the VTX blades on this Logo so my experience of these blades are completely based on these. I can say that's a big difference how they feel in air and for me it was the missing part to make this helicopter amazing. As I'm a low rpm lover this was the perfect upgrade. As their geometry gives a big bite in the air the helicopter was like a slingshot and big-sky loops is made with ease. And on top of that I could lower the rpm's a bit and gain more flight time. The helicopter gained more stability as well so I was pretty happy with them. If its worth the upgrading its hard to tell, I think that comes down to personal preference. The only down side for me was the price point and the tips on the blades might easily get broken if you hit something during transportation. But that's just my opinion.

Hey man! What setting's are you using on your hobby wing esc? My motor and esc come down very very hot after a 5min flight. I'm running 14T pinion and stock settings on the Hobbywing 100a esc V3 ( 15deg timing and 32KHz PWM frequency). Thanks :)

Mark Hepple Hello my friend!! What motor are you using? 😀
@arielatom300heps6 жыл бұрын
Running the stock Scorpion HKIII-4025-1100KV that came with the kit.

I see, well my settings on the same motor was; motor timing 5deg and drive frequency 8kHz.

Mark Hepple yes, mount The servos before putting The two frame halves togeather, it makes The whole assembly much easier.
@arielatom300heps7 жыл бұрын
Roger Göstasson thanks:) and can i use the stock servo arms that come with the hitec 8330 servos? cheers!
@RogerGostasson7 жыл бұрын
Mark Hepple I have no experience with the Hitec servos but I'm thinking there is no problem using them. I have always been using Mikado's own servo arms, on all my helicopter's. BTW, Merry Christmas. 🎅
@arielatom300heps7 жыл бұрын
Same to you :) The guys at my club told me I shouldn't use the stock servo arms but I don't know why. Was thinking of buying Mikado's servo arms. Also Should I use a vbar flybarless unit or a ar7200 flybarless unit?
@RogerGostasson7 жыл бұрын
Well, I think that the choice of FBL units is more of a personal preference, my choice through the years has been VStabi systems and I just recently bought a Vbar Controller, couldn't be happier. :)

Very nice. If you've changed the main blades rotation to anti clockwise, did you pin the torque tube ends as these may now unscrew. Even Vario recommend pinning the TT ends if changing the main rotor direction. I like how you changed the tail rotor control arm for left side orientation. Do you have instructions for this?

Oga Boga He cut the engine when entering the loop (Autorotation loop) but hold on to positive pitch to long and lost all the rpm's on the top of the loop. 🙈
