When he got to the xbox 360 advertisments part o was shocked to hear that menu was bad cause i remembered really liking it. THEN i rememebered that back then i did NOT have an internet connection, my console was never online so i never saw any of the ads or anything else 😂

33 years later VR still sucks, magic potions and 3D games don't make you smarter, telekinesis still doesn't work, and abrupt taking off VR headset doesn't do anything (you may get a scratch or damage the headset if you pull the cable too fast)

Explore page was replaced by the welcome page in a newer update. It actually fixes a few of the issues you had here. It always starts up to it (unless you take it out of rest mode and have a game suspended during that) much like the explore tab, but now it shows more useful things, such as your controller battery, trophies, and friends! Yes, there is still advertising, but the PS Plus thing is now moved further left.

I truly think they should offer a dual boot mode for Xbox so you can install an OS like windows 11 and do computer stuff then boot into Xbox and play games. They are a great size and price that if they could also be easily used as mini desktops I think they would inherently become even more valuable than a ps5

11:34 I'm a casual*, my eyes see 1 FPY (1 Frame Per Year) - PC by Post *I am not actually a casual, that was a joke. I'm a pro PC master race gamer that has an optical nerve refresh rate of 144hz. Sometimes I can pull a Max Payne, do the bullet time, and dive shot when I'm in danger.

I like calling earlier console menu screens "Console BIOS menus" because that's more or less what they are.... close enough. My personal favorite is the Gamecube "BIOS" menu. Such aesthetic, such atmosphere. Such *rotating seethrough cubes and pixelating memory card blocks* Honorable mentions go to the PS2's menu, and the funky colorful PS1 menu that lives rent free in the top of my cobweb infested brain attic. The Wii's got a decent menu aesthetic, could use more colors though. Dreamcast's and Xbox's is cool, too. Never had a DC or any 'Spocks console though.

7:36 - Although several PS2 save file icons were relatively basic like a simple static cube or model, there were some that actually had animated models that can change animations depending on what the user is doing with said file, whether copying or deleting. The only game with a save file that I know of that uses this feature is Klonoa 2.
