why have you not detailed the critical step of how much space you need between the sheets so we know how to space the rafters? Surely that would have been an obvious thing to cover in the video? If using 700mm wide sheets then how far do the rather need to be spaced apart? 725mm maybe ? I need to know this before installing the rafters?

What do you donif the width of the roof is such that the other end of the roof, that you dont shiw being fitted, is not perfectly in line with the corrugations? You've shown all the ways bits but very kittle about the other end of the roof.

Despite what it says DO NOT continuously overlap the sheets. You will get eaves creep so that after 4 sheets your eaves line will be about 30mm lower than the first sheet. I suggest you overlap and then underlap and repeat - that way you can maintain a straight eaves. If you decide to put them on battens / "purlins" you will need to think about how the tiles will lay on the barge board pieces. I had to notch the ends of my supports.

@ronlaverdiere
@ronlaverdiere 3 жыл бұрын
No. Especially not with a roof structure like they show in the video. Most roof structures with that span would have at least one row of blocking between the rafters. If you were to stand directly on a rafter then you might be ok, but do not stand on the polycarbonate without a solid surface directly under it for support.

@@RoofingMegastore The rigidity of the product is the main concern with potential customers. It looks like a rubber material ? I could be wrong though. I would be very concerned with moisture building up. I would personally use the Tapco tile.

@@deangreasley8168 I've been looking into Tapco as well, I do like the look of them but not much experience with them, they're not flexible but then possibly more brittle? Use 12.7 mm or 1/2" wood drill bit to drill holes for the super fixing buttons. How the hell can I get 12.7mm drill bit? In the civilised world people use mm not inches. Easier to get a moon stone than 12.7" drill bit...
