Russ North RIP mate. This is a fine example of how Russ didnt take himself too seriously. He was a genuine real deal bloke. No pretence or ego, just a guy who loved making music. He never had the success or recognition he truly deserved, but anyone who saw and heard him would appreciate what a powerfull and distinctive voice he had. I played in Monza and Tredegar with Russ and it was a real pleasure and an honour. He was the best member of every band he was in and we all knew it. Now Russ is back on his stage forever. RIP. Russ North. (1965-2025).

Fairly confident this interview is from 1987, not 1986. Slayer toured with WASP in February and March of that year (which the band references during this interview), and Lombardo was not performing with Slayer for that tour.

Yeah, she’s annoying. Very narcissistic; she thinks she’s the star of the show. Her body language said “look at me”. She seemed like she was coming on to them as opposed to genuinely asking questions to learn more about them.
