Hi, Deposits are paid for during check in at the hotel, they are not paid online. Entering them into the Extranet as I show in my video makes it so they appear when the person is paying online so they are aware there will be a deposit when they arrive to check in. Setting up the email to mention the deposit is an extra form of communication about the deposit they will have to pay when they arrive. Not all properties require a deposit. It depends on what the hotel wants to do. I hope this answered your question. If not let me know :-)

Go to Property Tab>click on Room Details> click edit for the room you want to change then scroll to the bottom under Occupancy and update the number of people for the room

Hello thank you for reaching out. First of all you should experience a lift in bookings - that would be your first indication that it is working. Secondly, before Visibility Booster I recommend going to your Analytics Tab then click on Ranking Dashboard. There you will find Your Search Results Score. Track your Ranking and how much you are improving. I hope this helps!

Hello you are welcome. Yes I do think it is worth it if your property is in an area with a lot of other rentals like a city or leisure destination. Being a Genius Property will help you stand out from the rest of the competition. If you are in a secluded area or area with very few competitors then I don't think it works in your favor. If you join compare your revenues on the Analytics Tab to ensure you are receiving the boost in business you expect from being in the program. You can opt out at anytime. Once you opt out you have to wait 6 months to rejoin. Also pay attention to the black-out dates they allow for heavy demand periods.

my property is an apartment but mistakenly started it as rooms now i can’t change it to property layout options and not room details… please help?? cause on my calendar it’s to sell rooms and i want to rent out the whole apartment. how do i change it ?

I believe as long as you have bookings for the space you are unable to change the title, you have to wait till there are no bookings on the calendar, only then can you change the title.

Also, On your availability make sure you put 1(one) so it shows that there are no other available rooms and it shows as a whole apartment. Since you can't make changes yet,(you have to call them for changes)write that it's a whole apartment and other details under property settings...your profile...about the property

Hello thank you, happy to help you! Definitely yes I suggest to update for the long term on a weekly basis at the least. I suggest over heavy demand dates such as holidays or events in your areas to check those dates and update daily as they get closer. You will find some of your competitors pricing changing daily or a few times a day over heavy demand dates.

Hello thank you for watching. What you are asking is not my field of specialty. Entering Banking information is something the owners handle privately since the information is confidential. If you want to set up direct debit you can do so under the finance tab. It could also be that the option to enter banking information may not appear until after you receive your first invoice. If none of this helps you I recommend reaching out to Booking support with your question.

Hi thank you for watching. It depends how many of your competitors are in each of these programs. Shop your competition and find out how many are Genius and How many are Preferred and decide which one is best for you. Remember Genius members get a 10% discount on all your rates. If you are preferred you will pay an extra 3% commission on all bookings.

Hello glad you found the video helpful. Year to date (YTD) means Jan 1 to the current date of the report. Running 12 Months means the previous 12 months. So for example for a report produced for month end February 2024 YTD numbers would be for Jan 1, 2024 through Feb 29, 2024 and Running 12 numbers would be for March 1, 2023 through Feb 29, 2024.

I have a small question concerning the hotel's choice to include or exclude itself from the competitors: why would a hotel choose to include itself in the competitors? Hello, hotels are not included in the data on the STR Report. You will see wording on the STR that says "Hotel Data Excludes Subject Property" which simply means the property's numbers are not included

Hello i have a question about promos and how they are combined. If you are on a genius program and lets say you block out all weekends on August. If someone books for one week monday-sunday can he get the genius offer for only Monday to Friday? And that is a general question that I have. I know we can have a combination of promos that stack together, but can a reservation have different promos for different days?

Performance also refers to prices for your property somewhere on the internet that isn’t Booking.com for example your own website or another travel provider such as Expedia etc. When your prices on Booking.com are higher than those you are considered to be Out of Partiy and Not competitive. Go to the Booking.com Extranet>Analytics>Performance Dashboard. There you will see all the pricing infractions

Hi you need to ask for the deposit at check in. They can choose whatever card they want to use for the deposit. You can't charge the deposit prior to arrival.

Hello, I am not certain how often the system updates but from what I can tell it is at least a few times per week. I currently have 2 properties that are close to being preferred elligible and their "performance score" changes when I check them which is a few times weekly.

This refers to prices for your property somewhere on the internet that isn’t Booking.com - for example, your own website or another travel provider. When your prices on Booking.com have fewer or smaller price differences, your external prices will be “competitive” and vice versa.
