I remember when they had the Olympic torch running across Canada. They didn’t leave out Duck Lake (which is where I’m from) they had come to the school to ask my cousins to run the torch. It was awesome. They had a C95 float running around, giving cokes and they stopped in front of me and gave me my coke, personally. I’ll never forget that day. I wish they would have that again.

As a child, I had an iPod that would play this song only over and over and over again. I thought about it in the back of my mind always, but now, as I just got a cassette tape this past Christmas, I wanted to make a tape that has all the songs that made up my childhood. I was looking all over for it, because I forgot the title since it been so long. I finally found it just now and as soon as this song started playing, I burst into tears. It’s been over 12 years since the last time I heard it. I finally found it.

Omg I completely forgot about this song, when I was in second grade (2010-2011) at the end of the year our teacher gave everyone a DVD which was a slideshow that had a bunch of pictures of our class throughout the year and had this song playing on it.

Oh know this song a favourite of mine is a song I literally need right now the first few lines or 2 pages of lyrics are a bit like how I feel at times I lost my dad in Jan this year and my mom and sister came out and moved me from Surrey/Vancouver to Edmonton this is a year to get me more able to be on my own a year to see if I like it here and want to move here a year to be with family and I love my family but want to go back the year at times is hard and when by myself here in Edmonton I find myself sometimes a bit sad it is a bit upsetting having a future I want and having a plan that your mom wants for you and they are not the same mom wants me to move here I want to go back to Vancouver my mom wants me to be happy and really I have had happy times in general I just miss home when by myself but this song is giving back my picture of my future for myself
