I found this song because I was on a music app and I was in a 80’s pop genre and found MrMisterOfficial so I looked him up and eventually found him

so glad they released this last album...it's so well done, and some of the tunes are just sublime...never a huge fan of the mostly 80s pop, "I Wear The Face"...to me, "Pull' completes the trilogy with, "Welcome To The Real World", and, "Go On"- all very different albums that reflect different aspects of the songwriting, musicianship, and production that chronicle well the short-history of one of the best bands on the planet..."Pull" has been a very enjoyable album to explore- absolutely loving it...the expanded edition is worth every penny- the additional 3 tracks are some of my favorites on the album...

I just watched this movie tonight, on Tubi. And it was just as great as it was the very first time I saw it back in 1988. And I love this song! Forgot all about it, too, so it was a nice surprise when it came on at the end.

As a Mr Mister fan from the 80s the Pull album is absolutely awful. I give it a 1 out of 10. No where near welcome to the real world album which was easily a 10 out of 10

Baby, I don't understand Why we can't just hold on To each other's hands This time might be the last I fear, unless I make it all too clear I need you so, oh Take these broken wings And learn to fly again Learn to live so free When we hear the voices sing The book of love will open up And let us in Take these broken wings Baby, I think tonight We can take what was wrong And make it right Baby, it's all I know That you're half of the flesh And blood makes me whole I need you so So take these broken wings And learn to fly again Learn to live so free And when we hear the voices sing The book of love will open up And let us in Take these broken wings You've got to learn to fly, learn to live, love so free And when we hear the voices sing The book of love will open up and let us in yeah, yeah Let us in Let us in Baby, it's all I know That you're half of the flesh And blood that makes me whole Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah So take these broken wings And learn to fly again, learn to live so free And when we hear the voices sing The book of love will open up and let us in Take these broken wings You got to learn to fly, learn to live and love so free And when we hear the voices sing The book of love will open up for us and let us in Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Ooh

Kind of crazy to think how their sound changed in a year and a half. This album was cut in March of 84, Welcome to The Real World was out in November of 85.

1986 or 87 were the years in question, correct? If so, then yeah, I remember as a 12, 13 year old kid back then that even I noticed a discernable change in the music styles that year. It was like a mid-decade course correction. If you will. The late 70s, early to mid 80s was heavy onto the Synth Pop and New Wave stuff, and then the latter half of the 80s was all about Hair/Glam Metal, Hard Rock, Thrash Metal, and more organic pop music. The synth heavy stuff was out of date all of a sudden. Which is funny because Iron Maiden put out their Somewhere in Time album in 1986 and it was the first album they used synthesizers on. And it turned out to be one of their most popular albums ever. So go figure. But I just remember thinking that "Boy, there's been a sudden shift in styles of music here." Actually, I think it was 1987 when it all really changed, but the seeds were set in '86. Europe's Final Countdown was big in '86, but after that, man, synths were just out of style.

Richard Page is a total hottie. That's never a doubt. But this record is built on solid writing, great melodies, huge hooks and slick production. Listen up, kiddies; this is ACTUAL music. REAL people created the sounds you hear; it's not vapid chanting over a janky "beat". This is actual music.
