Peter Lynn 19m Venom II

I have the same kites, except the Venom II in 16m. How would you rate the Nero 2 kite with say any other foil? I am not happy with mine, as it's too slow to cross the wind window and doesn't have enough power and lift. Contrary to the videos from HQ and others, I found this kite very slow.

I tend to use the Venom more than the NEO because the NEO is a little too "squirrely" in the gusty inland winds that are the norm here. The NEO works well and seems plenty fast when the wind is clean. It may seem a little sluggish when flying in the lower half of it's wind range.

Nice jumps! Much better and also a better video than one I just watched called which had "huge airtime" in the title..

Thanks jesse. There is a great forum, powerkiteforum.com, that would be a better place to pose your questions about next kite purchase. Lots of skilled flyers with good advice. Give them a try. -- be ready to provide your typical wind speeds, location (beach or inland), experience, etc, because they will ask...

Helo there, nice video btw. I was wondering if you could give me some advice in which kite to get. i have seen quite a few videos of you and it looks like you have quite the collection. At the moment i have a radsail savage 6,5 m, its a good kite and im sure i can jump high with it but takes a lot of effort. I want a kite with lots of lift, want to make huge jumps with lots of air time. The kites i was looking at are, Peter Lynn ( twister, Voltage) pansh ace 12 m, Flexifoil blade v. Which one of these do you recommend? i weigh 90 kg. If there are any other kites that create lots of lift please let me know. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers

Try it with Depower Kites ...

I know this is years old, but to newbies outt there watching, buy a DEPOWER kite (see the video where they release the power of the kite? This is a depower, closed cell foil kite and 19m is quite big and dangerous in strong winds). Do not buy a FIXED BRIDLED kite, as they are for professionals that know how to release the power and are more suited for buggy and landkiters. However, a depower kite for good jumps is a similar kite to the above around 15m and above. Anything less, and you need more wind, more control, more skills and hence more risks. Of course the bigger the kite, the more height, etc, but you tend to use them in lower than 12knot wind days. Anything stronger, and I would be getting lessons.

Again much appreciated seeing this exact kite in these winds inland. Helping me with my decision on which size Twister to get. Thanks! Good, safe, and fun video!
