If Senaille had wanted played on a trumpet, he would have written it for trumpet instead of bassoon. Sorry I dislike.

Nirlux I would bet it’s because it sounds better on trumpet. But then again I think everything sounds better on trumpet. Ok maybe not everything, but most things.

1. He wrote it for violin. 2. A lot of Baroque music was written for non-specified instruments so it was easier for people to just play it, so stylistically this works. 3. Trumpets and other brass instruments often borrow literature from other instruments because there wasn't much music written for them in the Baroque / Classical era. 4. This piece is 300 years old and Senaille doesn't really have much of a say on how it is played anymore. 5. Feel free to still dislike it because I have no intention of trying to sway your opinion. I just wanted to clear the air about some things.

Played this song as a trumpet solo for my chair auditions this morning in my schools Symphonic Band, fumbled twice, but overall I did alright! haha love this!
