What an amazingly done performance by the DJembe Duo. I have performed this piece many times with different Wind Ensembles and love it, But your Wind Ensemble is a very nice professional sounding group. Mazel Tov to this wonderful conductor who kept you guys all spot on especially in the 5/8 parts. How many times have i seen everyone try to get the 5/8 by counting it out as phonetically saying Hotdog = 2 , Hamburger =3 A.K.A. 2 + 3. I'm very Impressed with how well you guys show such musical maturity at a very young of middle school. Darcy Williams I hope the school district you're in Gives you a financial raise, and THEY NEED to keep funding all music performance programs in all schools of your district. I'm tired of seeing music programs axed due to S.T.E.M. this and other programs that the district feels are better. This is the future of our next musicians, when I retire I want music to survive not die away with no care towards it. Thank you Maestro Williams for crafting these future professional musicians and kudos to great conducting too. Excellent work to the percussion section also.

Fantastic, mature tone and precision from a middle school group. Very tasteful approach from percussion. Clearly some great teaching and a great system in place.

At 23.41 it says the number of beats is 6 and number of pulses as 8. If I follow the other examples shouldn't that be 12 pulses?

She's a heck of a teacher. Nice to see a teacher challenging the crap out of the kids. The way it SHOULD be. So many teachers patronize young kids and they never get challenged. BRAVO!! The HS teacher should be extremely happy.
