...why does the motherboard have all of the slots required and the heatsink have a space for an M.2 NVMe IT DOESN'T COME WITH? Were they THAT lazy in reusing the PS5's motherboard?
@GoodBoy-io6fd19 сағат бұрын
Will you make another video like this slicing and sticking the thermal pads separately then you put a third party 3mm copper Heatsink?
@ElectronicsComputers18 сағат бұрын
Well, I'm not sure if it's worth making another video, because the type of heatsink doesn't matter. If you put something flat on your SSD, you'll see that there's about 0.5mm difference between the NAND chips and the controller. You can use any pads you want, but the difference between the pads should always be 0.5mm to level that surface. For example, if you put a 0.5mm pad on the NAND, then you have to put a 1mm pad on the controller. Or if you put a 1mm pad on the NAND chips, then you have to put a 1.5mm pad on the controller, and so on. Samsung actually did the same thing with their heatsink version, but they went even further and applied pads with different thicknesses even to small chips. You can see it here: i.ibb.co/10HwmmQ/980PRO.jpg
@GoodBoy-io6fd17 сағат бұрын
@@ElectronicsComputers OHHH REALLY! I did not noticed that the controller and NAND have that 0.5 mm height difference! This is a good thing that you said this to me! So I need to buy two different size of thermal pads. Why is it that the heat absorbtion is better if you split the thermal pads into half? Can you help me on this one? I am planning to buy a 2024 Asus ROG Strix G18 Gaming Laptop. Will it fit a 3mm or 6mm heatsink? I plan to put 2 Lexar NM790 4TBs M.2.

what if the ssd in the xbox is broken
@ElectronicsComputersКүн бұрын
Well, in our repair shop, we try to restore or fix that SSD. If it's impossible or the process will be too time-consuming, then there's no way to fix that console. We buy them for $50-70 for donor parts. The best option is to just buy a new one. The previous generation of Xbox had a bootloader chip on the motherboard, and you could replace a dead HDD/SSD without any problems. The Series S|X doesn't have that chip. The bootloader is now on the SSD, and that partition is encrypted for a specific console.

My adapters are Dell OEM units and they work fine on other Dell laptops. The 2 bad laptops are E7250 and E7450. Found an old PRO3X E-dock which bypasses the AC jacks on the laptops and they both charge and run faster. BIOS also indicates correct wattage. The E-dock works with all Dell series E laptops from E6400 up to E7470. NOTE: The dock requires a 90W adapter to operate.

@ElectronicsComputers2 күн бұрын
Since 365nm UV lights are used in forensics because they react with a wide range of substances that can potentially fluoresce under UV light, that's what you need. 395nm UV lights are good only for curing UV paint and glue.

Guys i had the plates for a year in the humerus came to the doctor today , told me that there’s a risk of removing them and said that u could have sone complications nerve damage or bone fracture again
@ElectronicsComputers3 күн бұрын
There’s even a risk of nerve damage and breaking the jaw when they pull a large tooth. If the plate doesn’t bother you and you don’t live an active lifestyle, then keep it inside. Otherwise, the decision is pretty obvious. I'd suggest seeking another opinion because it's quite the opposite: with the plate inside, your bone becomes weaker and there’s always a high risk of breaking it at the lower or higher screw holes. If that happens with the hardware inside, it would result in a very nasty fracture and surgery.

Ive only ever used the birchwood casey line. The superblue has instructions that aren't quite so intuitive. Alcohol, buff, apply for no longer than 30 seconds, douse in cold water, alcohol, buff, reapply. Does it make a difference? I dunno, but thats what the instructions say. Its hard to get an entire barrel done in that short window. I dont know that it affords any superlative protection as its not like a coating per se. Once youre done with the bluing, oil the hell out of it until it quits soaking it up, and then re-oil frequently.
@ElectronicsComputers3 күн бұрын
Well, the key thing for perfect bluing is to thoroughly degrease the surface of the metal. It should be clean of any debris and grease. There are lots of solutions that can be used for this. Also, after bluing, some people wash the surface to remove the extra bluing solution. I don’t do that, I just apply a lot of oil, and the result has always been great with Super Blue and Oxpho-Blue Creme.

This is wild. I work in an electronics repair shop, and I was talking with another of the techs about this after I noticed there appeared to be pads for an NVMe slot on the board. I always wondered if I stumbled across some schematics on the web, would I be able to add a slot to it. The 2 sets of cap pads to the right of the slot are data lines, and they're likely required. There's also some logic and resistors missing from around the same area that you installed the mosfet
@AdmSkyWalker3 күн бұрын
Still a good video for people who like to tinker. Like he said in comments, cannot use a 2TB due to firmware limitations. Microsoft has announced the 'Xbox Series X - 2TB Galaxy Black' so the limitation will probably be lifted by the time it comes out. Even then, testing will still be needed to find out how to upgrade the older systems to a 2TB. Not to mention see which 2TB SSD's are compatible with the X|S. Hopefully all of them but I doubt it.
@ElectronicsComputers3 күн бұрын
Yeah, I wish it was like with the previous Xbox generation when you could put any drive inside, install offline updates from a USB drive, and the job was done. I have about 17 consoles in my repair shop with dead SSDs, and they are not fixable because there’s no way to restore the boot partition, which on previous consoles was on a dedicated boot chip on the motherboard.
