Mine is had scratch mark say 450101 and it’s bim-bam on 4 rods using 1 for bim chime and 3 for bam chimes on trio gong chimes bar.

For some reason, that spinny wheel that moves the rack up 1 tooth per strike reminds me of the French rack striking mechanism. That part is also quite bouncy.

I have decided that German movements....and HAC vintage in particular....have the riches and most sustained chimes... why ??? supererior metallurgical properties in the chime rods ?? Case construction and resulting case sympathetic harmonics reverberation ?? Dunno.........But.....IMNSHO.....they rule !!!

My uncle has a Gustav Becker westminster clock which I have repaired who works very well and sounds beautiful also. For me Gustav Becker clock company was one of the best clock company in the world for made beautiful, very precise, and very reliable, mechanical clocks.

A watch is a small time-telling device that attaches to your wrist. A clock is basically the same thing but placed somewhere in a building or something and is typically bigger. Using "watch" instead of "clock" makes it extremely obvious that you don't actually speak english.

The serial number is at the bottom of the back plate comprised of 7 numbers, the P48 means pendulum length is 48cm, this truly is a beautiful clock with a wonderfully designed movement by the famous Gustav Becker factory in Germany, you are a very lucky man, Thankyou so much for lovely video. Thankyou for such a good demo of these Gustav Becker movements, I have 2 wall clocks both of which are spring driven full Westminster Vienna box regulators, one P54, the other P64, I would love to see more videos as the Becker is my favorite, once again many thanks. Jim from AUSTRALIA.
