As people are saying martingales may help but my horse still chucks his head high and it's just the case of working with him and practice him lowering his head. For us it took i lot of training but now his head it perfect and it was with it !

I'm surprised you never got 1st or 2nd your a really good rider and I can see that😍 do you have any tips for kicking a horse more without losing your stirrups?
@TheSmallworlds20007 жыл бұрын
Daisy Mightyknight aw thank you !! Well unfortunately mi ponino didn't get her strides or leads (sometimes) so points were deducted resulting in a 4th,5th and 6th! As for kicking, I'd give the horse a squeeze with your calf and heel while keeping them down if the horse doesn't listen, keep your heels down and kick. As your kicking maybe cluck or kiss to them. If that still doesn't work , I'd use a crop :)

hey! i may have a suggested. i own a mare as wel and when she is in heat it's brutal. i attempted to ride her once during her hormone week and was dumped like 3 times. just know it's not u but it's the horse. I found that talking to her rlllyyyyyy helps. my pony gets rlly speedy so talking to her calms her down a bunch. and if she doesn't want to move literally make her even if it means getting off and walking across the arena. circles help as well! good luck at the show! don't be nervous it will be ok❤
@mgrace24767 жыл бұрын
My horses are the same way! No focus at all and it's so frustrating!! I usually just do a ton of circles. I do a circle and if she tries to cut it short or stops responding I do another one until she eventually gives in. Another big thing that helps for me is not letting her go where she wants to. If she wants to go left make her go right. If she is drawn to a certain horse purposely make her stay at the opposite side of the arena! I hope this helps!❤️
@TheSmallworlds20007 жыл бұрын
Maia H I'm going to try that today for sure ! Thank u ❤️ her BIGGEST issue is not going forward. At all. Like no matter if I circle or not. Idk what else to do

Great video!💕 what part in Canada do you live in?(ps.i live in Canada as well) do you have any tips for making a horse "go" I do lessons & whenever I kick him to go he just keeps walking & when i keep kicking I lose my stirrups, & any tips on outside rein & heels up? 💙 I ride bigger horses & they think when it comes to riding they are the boss & just put there head down.
@TheSmallworlds20007 жыл бұрын
do you ride with a crop?? if he doesn't respond to your leg, give him a tap with the crop! it helps tequila for sure, especially when it comes to jumping. other than that id suggest being a little bit more strong, (which i need to work on too ahaha). something that also helps me (well, helped me) when i ride slow horses is everytime im trotting, and i sit, i squeeze with my legs it just helps them go a bit faster. you may also cluck or kiss at them to make them respond to your voice. some horses just work like that, like tequila! hope this helped!
@daisymightyknight40677 жыл бұрын
Equestrian Torii Yes I ride with a crop & thank you so much for answering back :) I'm so sorry it's a long question, I've just been having trouble lately & my instructor would pick on me at the group lesson for not trotting when the horse is not doing as I say, he does walk perfectly fine. I appreciate you taking the time into making someone's life alot easier <3 once again thank you so much💕💕

@BriaEquestrian7 жыл бұрын
Okay. So first. For the show she is going to be insane. You should first get medicine that makes the heat hormones to calm down. Next make sure to lung her before so she is less crazy. Or you could free lung her or just let he run for a while. And then when you are in the ring make her constantly pay attention to you. Don't let he focus on another mare/gelding. That might mean tugging on he mouth a couple of times to get her to focus. But good luck. And make sure that you don't forget that ribbons don't mean anything! Have fun! Enjoy it! Good luck!

Horse Crazy I've already taken her to the show place a couple times, she's been a lunatic even without tons of horses. It's going to be brutal. We were going to give her the medication but the thing is , there's a drug fee. So I don't want to get "caught". Unfortunately, I know she's going to be psycho 😂😂 I'm also thinking of putting those ear plugs in her ears lol

How far apart do you space the ground poles?
@TheSmallworlds20007 жыл бұрын
Abby - these poles just so happened to be there when I rode yesterday, howeverrrrr I usually space trotting poles with one big step of mine, or four steps heel toe heel toe !!

Love the video!💕Do you have any tips/advice for a two point?
@TheSmallworlds20007 жыл бұрын
Daisy Mightyknight thanks so much!!! And il one able to help if I saw a pic, but gender you'd want to follow the flow of your pony's movement, and keep your leg wrapped around at the girth with your hands halfway up the neck. That's how I usually do it ! What helps me is I push my legs forwards as I'm over the jump :) hope that helps! You can always tweet me a pic or Dm me on insta !
