even back then Crown Vics were the best looking cars on the road.

If you want to time travel just a little bit back to nostalgic Vegas, stay at the Mardi Gras Casino on Paradise. It's a glorified motel with a tiny casino, restaurant and subtle Nola decor. It probably hasn't been updated since the 80's and is charmingly rustic.

Interesting! Frontier hung on a while longer. Richard Brandon didn't make it for several years, and the Virgin casino is struggling. City Center area wasn't even a thought. Wynn was mentioned as a concept. So many ownership changes.

Thank you for the video. All the stuff the man said about Vegas (traffic, price, population, ect) is even worst now. The welcome to Vegas sign is empty. Usually full of ppl waiting to get their pic. The man commentary is absolutely priceless! Its like he knew what was going to happen to Vegas.

Nostalgia can make a comeback, just don’t lose hope. Treasure Island should be restored to its former glory, the Linq hotel should rebrand back to Imperial Palace, Park MGM should rebrand back to Monte Carlo, Horseshoe should rebrand back to Bally’s, and most importantly rebuild the Tropicana and may the Hard Rock construction outside the Mirage fail miserably..

Branson got close! He bought the old Hard Rock Casino, which is close to the airport

In the early 2000s it was such a dream. People were friendly. It wasn’t a nightmare. After covid it’s just become unbearable. Nothing dreamy left.

Vegas is better now in my opinion. Cosmo,Aria and City Center alone makes it better. Also the walking bridges they built to cross Vegas Boulevard also is a plus.

So great to see but so sad that as soon as Wet n Wild waterpark arrives, the camera turns away, Wet n Wild at night is something so rare!

28:43 The Trop finally was dropped on October 9th, 2024 for the future Athletics ballpark and Bally’s resort; that Trump fella he mentions is also preparing to serve a second nonconsecutive term as US President.

The early 2000's were a special time in Vegas. Value for money on hotel stays and food was excellent. The gambling was phenomenal. I always came home with money in my pocket.
