What I find that helps to keep me from swaying on the backswing is to allow my lead heel come up off the ground. This keeps me centered, allows my shoulders to turn and gives me the feeling of having time to get back to the ball on the downswing. Being 61, I’m not as flexible as I used to be and this helps.

Sounds like you have a great sense of awareness, and found some solid feels that work for you and your game. Keep up the great work and this off season would be a great time to start working on some mobility and stability exercises to help increase that range of motion.

I think you got a lot of good stuff. If you just show people exactly what they need to be doing. Get right to the point it would benefit more people. A lot of people won't have the patient to watch your whole video

@@ebttt thank you I've been advised to make 5-10 minute videos. I will shorten it up as you suggested 👍🏼

That is exactly why I take practice swings with my Irons. Because they are different lengths I have to get comfortable with whatever club I may be using.

Find a fundamental that worked the last time you were hitting well on the range and focus on that. The more you can develop a good muscle memory, the more consistent you will be, a simple mindset is key, one single thought when you are hitting well. For me it is my shoulder turn, everything else just follows when I get it right.

Is that similar to what I see Justin Thomas do prior to swinging??? Thanks
@JoeSpivak
@JoeSpivak 2 ай бұрын
@johnmartin4332 to some degree yes, it is very similar. Justin Thomas likes to make sure the toe of the club is upward and that the shaft is parallel to his stance line. JT does not like hitting it left so he makes these accommodations to support the fade.
