Not sure. But I did understand that KGA was associated with the elite class of Goans only. The acceptance to membership was based on your education and social status, which usually relates to your financial standing. Beyond that, there was also a tint of racial discrimination of class status. Yes. The same that prevailed in greater india...lower caste. The system of dividing society into castes. Definition from Oxford Languages "caste has survived among Goa's Christians". For those same stiffling reasons, the other goans proved their mettle by giving rise to the Goan Union. Now. For those that will rise to quickly deny this "association", I would like to put them to rest by saying, it was "understandable". It's past. It's different (been for a while now), because those that had little than the others, have more to their name than "the others". Cheerio !
