What a joke. I was a temp there and just about to complete that process and one of there full time people had gotten into some type of trouble. They were going to offer me full time and the next thing I know the person in charge of temp personnel informs me they decided to keep the individual and let me go.

Missouri loves business and that gives people jobs. You have to respect a state that pushes so hard for good business. It's a win for all.

What crap. I was an employee of the Missouri Dept of Mental Health from 1987 to 2013. I also suffer from Major Depression and panic attacks. I got a letter from my doctor put in my personnel file back in 2004 when my boss's harassment got so bad it was making my symptoms worse. After I got the letter from my doctor things went along okay until 2013 when the harassment started again. I was put under a phony investigation that was clearly designed to force me to resign (it's a common practice for Missouri state employees to be harassed in some way when they get close to retirement age, apparently so they try to get out of paying their pensions. I know many state employees who were treated badly when they near retirement). My doctor's letter had "mysteriously" disappeared from my file. The stress of the harassment was causing me to self harm; and the state was aware of it but they did nothing to help. I called Keith Shafer, the Director of the Department at the time, a woman answered the phone and said "Dr. Shafer doesn't want to get involved." I tried contacting Governor Nixon; after being ignored several times I was told they couldn't help me. Seriously, I even tried to call the White House and the guy who answered the phone said he couldn't help. I was fired after about 25 years of service. When I was denied unemployment, I punched myself in the head so hard it caused a brain hemorrhage that nearly ended my life. I had to have holes drilled in my skull to drain the blood. I finally found an attorney who would handle my case and it took about a year and a half and I won, or rather the case settled out of court in my favor. I received a fairly large sum of money in settlement fees, got my retirement pension and unemployment pay, but I really just wanted the harassment to stop. I will never forget the suffering I was put through and it could have been easily avoided if they just stopped harassing me while I was suicidal. Something is terribly wrong with out government mental health services and I have experienced it first hand. We need something more than a group of white men in suits posing with shovels.

Thats cool. You know Henry Ford made a car that was made almost entirely of hemp. The exterior could take ten times more abuse than the metal cars of its age. Just a thought .
