Buy a real plastic welder no more then $20. or use a sodering iron just need wire mesh no screws needed that looks like a hack

please use pure isopropyl alcohol instead of hand sanitizer, it's a lot safer for hardware, and you might also want to look into replacing the thermal paste on it if it's old enough to build up that much dust and you still use it

Yes its bent to a point where you can retrieve it without much work if the tubing fatigues you need a new set of bars.

Yeah until you have to take the kick panel off to get to the cabin air filter… oh wait the cabin air filter is in a sealed housing that you have to cut open and retrofit for the 01

If you do not completely fill it it wont leak and no issues but only poke it at the top not the bottom then it may leak

Best way to test a catalytic converter. Grab a prybar, knock the converter material out. Problem solved.
